i use a windows machine for work and it's awful. really. i hate it. and i've used windows on and off for a long time. the last truly good windows OS for me was Win2kPro. that thing was solid and never crashed and wasn't bloated w/all the bullshit.

if i bought a windows system today i'd have to strip it down to its underwear to be able to use it in a reliable way.

this current Apple Silicon laptop is the best computer i've ever owned. period. the Quad G5 tower was also really great. but this laptop is simply perfect.

but whatever.. if apple disappeared tomorrow i'd find way to undo the bloat of a windows system and make it work.. or run linux and bitwig. shrug.

No, the first thing they did was end development on Windows. They kept selling it for a while, IIRC. |They were more than happy to ditch half their user base, although I imagine that, in their arrogance, they thought all those Logic users on Windows would jump ship and buy a Mac, which didn't quite pan out for them. They had the same experience with Shake, only moreso. In the end they just killed the product off when they realised their plan had failed. It wouldn't surprise me if they did the same with Logic one day.
i do find it funny that a developer is still trying to figure out if they are even going to support apple silicon but develops their software on apple computers/MacOS. Seems like you should stop making apple versions if you aren't going to support the current line of products they make. i mean.. it's pointless. just make them for windows and say good bye to apple headaches. shrug.
Maybe you didn't read what they wrote, or didn't understand it. Moving forward, they said they will support Apple Silicon only on new products. At least that's how I read it.
and microsoft has done no wrong in their entire existence. they all have done and will do shitty things to different people/products etc. it's a fool's errand to say otherwise.

Can you share a screen capture with audio and the graph?
I've tried 3 different screen capture utilities and none of them manage to grab the sound, so I fell back on a phone recording.

Also with WOW2 for comparison.

This is the VST3 64 bit version, Windows 10, Bitwig 5.011, AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, their ASIO driver, 48Khz, 48 samples block size (1.09ms).

Its sooo tiny on my 17" Laptop I can't read any of the text, other than the plugin's name, making it pretty much unusable. Why on earth is a 2023 vst not re-sizable, or at least large enough for modern displays?

It appears the plugin is connecting (through the DAW) to s3-1 amazonaws.com

Why?

I didn't press anything on the GUI. Just loading the plugin and not touching anything will cause it to connect to amazonaws.

Anyway, I've already deleted the plugin so it's no longer an issue here. Moving on......

No, Microsoft are probably even worse but at least every software application I have ever bought and every peripheral I have ever owned will still run in the latest version of Windows. On the one occasion they f**ked that up - Vista - they paid a huge price because, unlike Apple's cult members, Windows users won't put up with shit like that so we forced them to backtrack and fix the problems.

In the end, that's the difference to me - Windows users won't put up with whatever Microsoft wants to do to make their life easier at our expense. Sometimes that can be frustrating, when you can see how good something is going to be but nobody else is interested, so Microsoft drops it, but overall it's way better than life as an Apple user.

Of course, the ideal would be somewhere in between these two extremes, where a company would persevere with changes it knows are going to be beneficial to users in the long run, even if they are unpopular at first.

Why on Earth would you buy a laptop with a screen that wasn't going to work for you? I did, once, but I got rid of it pretty quickly and went back to something I can actually use. Anything more than Full HD (1920x1080 or 1920x1200) on a laptop is a waste of time. It shouldn't be up to plugin vendors to solve your problems.

It could be depending on popular demand (which is not non-existent at that point). And of course your DAW (FL Studio can scale it for instance).
Manual is a todo for now. Coming soon.
bagpipe200 wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 9:53 pm Has anyone figured out how to assign the LFO to the various control/pots? I've played around with the presets but I'm still confused. 8)
The right column works as an inspector for whatever is selected in the middle column. Gives you parameter name, its graph and the modulation grid. vertical fader assign modulations (or macros²) while selecting said modulator below.

Thanks a lot for taking time. Screen recording can be a PITA with Audio. Looking into it with the dev and coming back at you.

Wait why? Hosting a manual online is common practice (even though right now it's a placeholder one, Frohmage manual is currently being written). It allows us to update it independently from the app. I am unclear why this is an issue for you?

The VST3 is crashing WaveLab 11.2 on instantiating. This is on Windows 11.

Really? It is not resizeable ?
The GUI on the website is huge, so it's really misleading (and it's 2023, I thought every new plugin in 2023 would be resizeable).

Ok silly question but I remember clearly that once upon a time you could get a link to a specific post on KvR. Somehow I can't find how to do it. What did I miss?

EDIT: found it.
