Dude why are you demanding more OSCs, more voices, more filters and functions from a couple of threads for synth here?VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 7:18 am if z3 doesn't have various interesting filter types and at least 16x voices, not gonna even download the demo.
Why all developers do their stuff and don't listen designers ,what are important parts in the sequence,so to be developed further.
In the end the goal is to make good make music with good synthesizers, not a weird noise...am i wrong?
That is one thing on KVR i find funny and weird at the same time, some dude demanding changes to the developer, like he just have to sit down for 15 min, write some additional code and voila, more filters and oscillators

I'm quite interested in the spline editor tool and morphing capabilities that you showcased on youtube.
Finetuning wavetable like this seems awesome.
Now you need to release a 2d/3d program as well^^

Yeah I also think Synplant is a much better synth than Zebra 3 will ever be. You load a sample and it just sounds like something.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 7:18 am if z3 doesn't have various interesting filter types and at least 16x voices, not gonna even download the demo.

And Zebra? I do this and do that, turn knobs here and there and though - it sounds shitty. Must be a bad synth…

This post is a prime example of how some people are out of touch with reality due to their self-centered view of things, having lost any sense of urgency, necessity, and what is right or wrong. What does make sense and what doesn´t.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 7:18 am if z3 doesn't have various interesting filter types and at least 16x voices, not gonna even download the demo.

And people like that often govern entire nations and countries..
To be honest, I am very humble
I would be delighted to receive an update on the current status. Thank you
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What i said to trigger such a negative reaction...?
Isn't the user who have right to demand or criticize the products ?
O i forget i am not a user yet?
Ok...
Give me two min to buy something from uhe, then probably will be listened ...or not?
What is this, some sort of sect, where you can't argue with the guru,c'mon...are guy have some secret comunications between sect leaders or something?
Anyway,my advice to urs is relax, sleep more and listen when somebody say something you don't like probably, but isn't just random person opinion, otherwise you may find your products,as Russell Crowe in 'Gladiator'' say in Elysian Fields hahaha
Make love and music not war.
Cheers

To be fair, your post didn't make much sense in the context. What the video in the first post shows is Zebralette, which is a freeware synths, and features (if I recall correctly, and, as far as I understand) a single Zebra (3) oscillator, and is rather there to showcast what that single oscillator can do already.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 9:10 am What i said to trigger such a negative reaction...?

To address what you wrote: Zebra 2 has a gazillion of different filter types, and, when you take the Hans Zimmer "Edition", which is now part of Zebra Legacy, to it, there are even more. And, Zebra 3 will probably have even more.
And, yes, it has also 16 voices, a simple look on u-he's website could have told you that.
That all said, I don't quite get Urs' defensive and offensive reaction, but, hey, you heard the man. He doesn't want you as a customer, so, act accordingly.

I just want envelopes that don't return to zero on new key presses in monophonic mode, and the option for envelope shapes like those on Diva or Repro. Oh, and at least four global LFOs.

I think of both of your described methods as forms of resynthesis... but I guess these days, with many spectral resynthesis tools, some verbal delineation like you are making is useful.Urs wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 6:40 am While we did recently show that we can analyse samples and generate vectorised curves from them, I think I was also clear that it's a bit hit and miss. Some material is a better fit for this than some other. Importing individual waveforms is pretty easy and straight forward. Importing and vectorising a dozen or so frames from even a simple sample does not necessarily produce the expected results when morphing: The transitions may be seamless, but they hardly ever sound exactly like the in-between frames of the sample. It takes some manual work to achieve this, and often enough it simply isn't possible. It's pretty good when it happens though, and then I guess it's safe to say "this is a bit like resynthesis".
However, converting arbitrary samples to spline based waveforms resembles wavetable synthesis, not resynthesis.
We have also planned to support classic wavetable scanning like Hive does. We furthermore have plans for Hive and Z3 to import samples of arbitrary pitch, which internally will be converted to wavetables with up to 256 frames. Those will have the same properties as any wavetable, it's just an easier way to create a wavetable from an arbitrary sample. It is my understanding from what people tell me that the tools available for this are not exactly gratifying, which is, I guess, why people frequently ask for it.
This again is wavetable synthesis, not resynthesis.
Whatever it's called, I look forward to both options in Zebra 3 (synthesizing curves and/or 256 frame wavetables from samples). It's currently a bit tedious doing it in another synth and exporting/importing into Hive.
