Anyone know if there is a bi-polar option for the slide modulator? Cant' find it.

Assign Slide, then right click on the Modulation Slider and Set Bipolar is the top option.... same as with other Mods.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 9:16 pm Anyone know if there is a bi-polar option for the slide modulator? Cant' find it.

Aha! Amazing, thank you. Didn't think to check the mod knob. Checked right-click everywhere else.biomechanoid wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 2:19 amAssign Slide, then right click on the Modulation Slider and Set Bipolar is the top option.... same as with other Mods.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 9:16 pm Anyone know if there is a bi-polar option for the slide modulator? I would like a little more control over the position in the granular sampler. For example, there is no way to modulate a curve to the position to create transitions between the sample. This can be done in Phaseplant, Pigments, and Quanta

This different than just applying a curve modulator to the position knob? Could you provide some more detail - would love to learn what you mean.vertibration wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 5:03 pm I would like a little more control over the position in the granular sampler. Was wondering the same.Minimal Audio wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:29 pmThis different than just applying a curve modulator to the position knob? Sure, easy.......update Current to allow a modulator to drag and drop onto the start or end buttonsMinimal Audio wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:29 pmThis different than just applying a curve modulator to the position knob? In one-shot or loop modes you don't have a position parameter to connect the modulator to, because you're setting where you want the playhead to move between. But if you keep the granular in free mode, and drop a curve on the position like this (attached)vertibration wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 11:07 pmSure, easy.......update Current to allow a modulator to drag and drop onto the start or end buttonsMinimal Audio wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:29 pmThis different than just applying a curve modulator to the position knob? You can program any time of sequence or movement you want on the position.

Yes, but even when you apply the modulator to the position, and hold down a note, once the note has made a full cycle through the curve via its rate, the next start position will start later because the start position is continuous behind whatever you have modulating the position knob. For example. I play one single note and hold it down, after the curve has made its full rotation, the next time the curve modulator starts again as I am holding down the note, the position marker starts later, and the curve modulation curves in the modulator start later, so on and so forth as you hold down a note. Each time the curve restarts, the position stars later and later. This is a problem because the original position overrides the modulation source.Minimal Audio wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 2:35 amIn one-shot or loop modes you don't have a position parameter to connect the modulator to, because you're setting where you want the playhead to move between. Simple fix for now is to create a midi note in your DAW the length of your curve and repeat as needed for now, at least until your team reviews this little bug

Ahh I see! Well I think it's because the speed control on the granular is at 100% by default, can you try setting it to 0% and see if you're getting the behavior you're looking for? if speed is 0% then the position will never change and will perfectly follow your modulation curve. -- speed is moving the playhead without modulation you're correct, and it's active by default
