UVI Falcon - v4 = 2026 released - rumors, ads, praise, kindergarden, auto-sampling and off-topic inside!

It’s always the same the day UVI releases anything major. Big demand and a small pipe. Wait a day or two or try in the morning when the USA is asleep and it will be fine.

Nah, mostly I always have these low speeds on the uvi server. Also a friend from sweden reported that he downloaded Falcon 3.0 with 9mb/s. Yesterday. So there seems to something really wrong with the server connection. The Portal app always is extremely slow, too.

Don’t know why. Expecting the worst I tried doing the update from v2 to v3 in the UK at around 10PM and was surprised it didn’t take long at all.

Used Portal if that makes any difference.

I've had Falcon since v1 and have been consistently amazed at how much stuff they add for free.

I can think of few other companies that would give a major release away for free to upgraders - most would use it as an excuse to start using a subscription model (hope I'm not giving them any ideas!).

Anybody managed to take advantage of the two for one expansions deal? Website says that the discount gets applied automatically in the cart but that's not what happens for me.

Thanks, also the portal app always immediately starts to download the portal app, no matter what. After downloading, it restarts to download portal app again. I managed to install the portal app update by copying the dmg installer from the cache directory. Yet even after the update, the recent portal still starts to download the portal app....

The 3 other companies I can think off are
Kilohearts Arturia and kv331.

The result is, if I am thinking of purchasing something, I will first favour a product from these companies.

As a result for example, I buy presets banks only from UVI mainly, Kilohearts and Arturia.
I dont know if these presets are the absolute best, but I am willing to favour them as they favour customers.

Yep the issue is that in order to fix the issue you need to download the new app so hell circle...
The best it to download Portal from the web site.
We are working on a Portal version 3 that should help for the issue people are encountering FWIW

Did that now, yet the UVI Portal app still starts to download portal app...

I live on the west coast of the USA and downloaded it just fine in the morning, but to be fair that means I was competing only with other Americans who could download during the day. And different servers etc.

I used three new modules introduced in Falcon 3 to make this patch, Harmonic Resonators oscillator and effect plus Granulizer. Written explanations embedded in the video.

I will definitely big companies up when they do this sort of thing like Neural DSP released a great update for Plini plugin owners to Plini X for free the other day.

Just been playing with the MIDI out.

Now I can use some of the great patterns in Quadra with a bunch of other instruments so it doesn't become so stale.

Got this output when using Percussion Factory and adding a MIDI Out on each slot so Slot 1 -> MIDI channel 1, Slot 2 -> MIDI channel 2

This is a great addition but yet again Ableton Live has let me down by not being able to specify an input midi channel for a receiving track. All midi is merged. Will they ever fix this

They keep focusing on bs like new Push stuff rather than addressing key flaws in the DAW itself because I guess they don’t see it as enough of a money-spinner.
