Yo, VELLTONE, what forces you to use U-He then? I mean, if you don't vibe with their stuff (which is totally OK), there's plenty of synths out there that do pretty much every thing on the planet. New Falcon just came out. That's a nuclear powerplant of a synth/sampler. I think that your vision for U-he development clearly doesn't correspond with their own. So ... why bother so much? Just interested.

If you truly intend your comments as humble, constructive feedback, listen to what people are telling you: You do not appear to be either humble or constructive. You appear to be an arrogant person who makes assumptions and unprovoked accusations against developers. Perhaps you just aren't aware of how your tone appears in English. I doubt it. A humble person genuinely meaning to be constructive would reflect on how their word choice in a foreign language might have been unintentionally insulting. Instead of trying to correct that misunderstanding, you have chosen to double down with more sarcasm and insults. When you speak with someone who claims to be humble and constructive about how they are being unnecessarily provocative, to quote a bit of wisdom I read recently, "you gonna know what kind of personality they really have and how they care about anything outside their box of interests."

This turned into one of the best discussions on KVR ever... Maybe it is smart to not answer at all to a troll or ignorant. By answering, you might keep this nonsense running, too...

Maybe back to topic, is there any new video? :hyper:

I am kind of rediscovering Zebra2, the HZ variant. Very, very nice, I am stunned how flexible this thing can sound. Still have to explore the diva filters though.... Too much to explore

As far as I understand the new(?)/improved unison feature in Bitwig, it also supports all clap synths, too? So if ZebraHZ was available in CLAP format, I could do unison with Bitwig?

Those were the times.
Those were the times indeed! 8) Still have fond memories of fun discussions about music, the world and random stuff. Also, great humor and positive vibes back then, with guys like Putte, Ned and you... Well, we all moved on, got older, and unfortunately, discussion forums are not as innocent as they were back then.

But it's great to see how your business has developed - in contrast to some others (cough! cough!), I am very thankful that we can use all these brilliant tools these days. Maybe some people do not realize how much a hardware synth, a very limited sample library or a soft synth did cost back then, and how cheap we get well developed tools these days. (sigh)

So keep the spirit, and looking forward to Zebra 3...

The unison feature and stuff is somewhat related to MPE and our support for MultiChannel MIDI. Zebra2 does not have that, hence we can't support it in CLAP (or VST3 or VST2). It's one of the reasons for a complete rewrite of Zebra for its third incarnation.

Maybe let's not take things too far here...

You mean the first 11 years were 10% of the time?
BTW is ETA 2023 for Zebralette 3 still standing? Or will there be a BF surprise? :D

I have only great things to say about Urs and his team. Top notch products and the support guys are great too.

Look man, you're doing it again.

Like in your first statement, you obviously do not know our software. Why else would you "demand" something for Zebra3 that quite obviously you do not need to demand? Why would anyone assume that Zebra 3 has less polyphony, fewer filters and fewer sound design capabilities beyond "weird noises" than Zebra 2?

And since it's a non-issue, why would you accuse us of "not listening to sound designers"?

And where on earth are those amazing ideas that we can somehow only get by talking to you that we can not possibly figure out ourselves? If all you have to offer is "16 voices, interesting filters and no weird noises", then quite frankly, I think we might have long moved past that goal post.

Therefore, the only explanation for your recurring insults is, you don't know anything about us or our software (you only know through others that it's "underrated"... really? That's your spin?), which is by definition nothing less than ignorance.

Ignorance is not a good position if you want to be heard. You may want to try harder next time, like, for instance, being on topic as a base level.
Look man, already lost desire, motivation or whatever to be in your or other guru developer sect...neither gonna follow, nor gonna contribute to your or else delusional ideas ,that you know better what artists, musicians, designers so on REALLY IMPORTANT PART of the equation people who ask you developers to add or fix whatever you ALWAYS miss for years, but still fed you with hard earned money.I spend 6 years already of research and development of system/technology that you are no gonna understand practical aplication after 100 years,so i'm just curious, what if suddenly all your customers stop to buy,but start to download from alternative sources your software, are you gonna be so sure you are the master of galaxy ...the fact non of you guys is interested of anything else but your ideas is really serious delusional state, aside from fact how insulting is on personal level are your attitude and reactions... already consider to sell al my licenses and to continue with free synths only and to donate to their developers only...have you even check how many insulting phrases you wrote to somebody who just speak his mind in your topic,NOT saying nothing against you or your products in first place...
Can give any more of my money to people like you...
Man, You have some serious problems.

Remember, there is no shame in asking for help.

Good luck.

I use to breed cichlids as a money making hobby (Pink Congo & Convict). Something I observed during that time was the relationship between their actions and temperature environment. Raise the heat and they always went into one or more of the three "f" frenzies. Over the years I've seen this repeated in human social behavior and seems especially true in online forums as a basic before even getting into the drama matrix double bind of things.

The verbal run on seems more like contrived baiting in that DM as most text programs autocorrect i to I and takes a conserted effort to keep it lower case...

But before that, maybe we should just chalk this all up to global warming?

Zebra 3 is once again sparking fore front interest for me and of course, always looking forward to "Okapi 1".

oh, i see what you're saying :)
