rev2 includes all the preset from rev1 remastered and recategorized plus new ones
In order to have a more consistent hierarchy everything was moved so there is not 2.5 folder or stuff like that.
We renamed the actual UFS to avoid people losing their favourite following all those move.
Hope this clarify things.

It's only the Portal downloads afaik. As workaround I had to go to their page, too, for faster downloads (and with more connections using a download manager)rasmusklump wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 11:38 amI live in Germany and never had an issue with download speed with UVI. I don't use the portal.dermage wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 11:04 amI heard from UVI that eg. people from Germany have had download problems for a long time (myself included). They are aware for a long time of this too.fmr wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 11:00 am I regret all the problems people are experiencing with UVI Portal. I had my dose of problems with "portals" before (notably the Flux portal, which never worked as it should here). but UVI Portal has behaved very well since day one, and I manage all my products through it. I downloaded Falcon 3 and the library yesterday at 17:30 GMT (18:30 CET). I also updated two other products. Everything worked normally and smoothly (frankly, I was expecting problems). I don't know if the direct downloads are faster (maybe they are) but, to me, UVI is fast enough. I usually leave it do its thing while doing something else, and everything works.![]()
Probably you live in a country which doesn't have download problems.

Actually the presets remastered are really changed, isn't it ? When I compare presets with equivalent names from both sources, they are similar but not equivalent at all. Their sounds and macros are not the same and they behave differently. It is like trying a monobass preset in one synth and another monobass on another synth model... Same same but not the same.otristan wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 1:39 pm rev2 includes all the preset from rev1 remastered and recategorized plus new ones

UVI is the only one - since months iirc
according to little snitch the fastest throughput is 94 kB/s ...
arturia was slow and down 2 days ago - due to a new product launch
(been there couple of times, esp around Xmas when they offer their freebie)
normally (all the other) web pages open instantly

Improvising with a fresh patch using the bowed string oscillator introduced in Falcon 3, recording the Midi, then automating the three assigned Macros in a second pass. Written explanations embedded inside the video.

At least you can wait watching for nice mountains (I visited the Zugspitz 2 years ago and loved it)...

Fun! You should try to play the fretted bank tweaking harmonics when possible, it's nuts.Sampleconstruct wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 3:51 pm Improvising with a fresh patch using the bowed string oscillator introduced in Falcon 3, recording the Midi, then automating the three assigned Macros in a second pass. This new presets bank is awesome.

Indeed. This just sort of highlights the issues with the disjointed workflow in Falcon. Instead of a single click + drag while operating the parts mixer I instead have to select Main, then click on Effects and then click on Master. That's 3 extra clicks and complete change of page layout.otristan wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 8:06 amYou can do it in the dedicated Effects tabbmanic wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:50 pm .. speaking of the effects in the mixer section of Falcon. Is it really not possible to re-order them with drag&drop yet? Heck, is there ANY way of re-ordering the effects in the mixer???
It would be much easier for beginners/students to operate this thing if it wasn't so disjointed. Granted, you can completely ignore the Mixing page and do everything from the side bar and master volume from the top right.. but having that mixing page is actually a really nice place to mix your multi and have a quick overview of all effects. So why not allow basic re-ordering of effects right there? Surely a basic drag&drop re-ordering can't be that difficult to implement?
I really hope Falcon has a thorough workflow update at some point. Making it a joy to use would probably benefit you tremendously in the long run.

Also, I got my missing 3.0 presets problem fixed. It was as I suspected, there was a missing .ufs file in the legacy my-uvi product website. Today I saw that a new rev2.ufs file was added so I downloaded that and now I have a new library available in the browser.

I was curious what UVI Falcon expansions were the most popular so I put this poll together in the Soundware forum, if you wouldn't mind contributing...

Has anyone had any luck sending different midi channels out of one vst3 instance of Falcon in Reaper? I can send sequencers on different layers to different midi channels with Cubase and sending different midi channels in Reaper using VCV. Can't seem to get it to work for Falcon 3 in Reaper?
