OK, I've found something out :-

The alpha colours worked fine on my DAW, the screen properties of my DAW are set to 32bit!

The alpha colours were broken on my Internet PC, the screen properties of my Internet PC are set to 24bit!

NOW, when I changed my Internet PC to 32bit, the lpha colours worked!!!

So methinks there is some gui glitch/bug going on... Will make a new post about it to grab Jorgens attention

So if any of you guys are running my skin, latest version, in the latest beta and the mute/solo etc icons *don't* appear as in my screen shot up your display from 24bit to 32bit

Does that solve the prob for you silicon/silicium?

In fact I m in 16 bits (old school!), maybe you just save 32 bits bitmaps. The icons I made are 16 bits only, and work fine when I set alpha color in ext skin editor. i ll try to see if 32 bits display solve that one

I'd noticed the icons in your version of my skin were not how they *should* look, now I know why

I saved the bitmaps as standard 24bit RGB .BMP's.

There isn't '32bits' support for windows .BMP's. Only 24bit RGB and 256 colours.

Branis, quick question? How do you get transparency into a .ico file? I make them as .bmp's and then change the file extension but you cannot save a mask or alpha channel with a .bmp.

You'll have to use an icon editor for that
