Well, it’s samples. The sounds are good but they’re static, I have to use the phaser and ensemble on everything.

Would love to hear a comparison. Been waiting for Starsky Carr to do one.Uncle E wrote: Sat Oct 21, 2023 6:09 am Hooked up GForce OB-X with an Oberheim OB-X8 tonight. Great fun, I didn't expect the OB-X to hang as well as it did. Sometimes it even sounded better. It's a little tough to compare head-to-head because the controls don't correlate perfectly (OB-X has bigger range for resonance, modulation, and osc2 detune) but I'll make a comparison video once I've got it sussed out.

Really love the Ob-x sound, and I try tu use the discout code "group" at JRR shop, but its not valid. And right now with our bad currrency, 79usd is too much for me. For those who manage to use any discount code, which is it?
Thanx

Also consider the GForce Oberheim bundle, if you want all the individual Oberheim instruments for a decent price.

I think you should contact "Uncle E" if you have any problem in purchasing anything in JRR Shop (see the fist post of this page).
For me, everything went very smooth last Monday, from payment to having my serial instantly

I like it. But it's one of their older plugins, which still hasn't been updated with their new fully-scalable GUI and modern preset menu systems yet.
My guess is, either Virtual String Machine or impOSCar will be the next to get such updates. If you own a VSM licence, you'll likely be able to get a decent upgrade thereof.
As someone already mentioned, it's sample-based, so basically a ROMpler. But the sampled instruments are good for that retro vibe. Great for pads, leads and basses. A very large download though, (due to the sample library).
As for whether it's worth $39? To me, absolutely! But to each their own.
For an idea of the total file size of the plugin and the sample library downloads, see the following:

Hey! Let's keep the VSM stuff in the GForce sale thread. This thread is for complaining about the OB-X demo restrictions and low contrast text.

Hehe, yeah indeed.
Instead used "forum" yesterday, also a nice reduction.

I paid £55 after adding the code "group". Got my serial number immediately.
