When using these modes, you usually want to set the filter balance to 50% so both filter outputs are heard. Could this have been the problem?

Just a side-note:

Ableton Live 11 has very poor support of VST3 presets (in fact: it doesn't show the presets anywhere, not in the plugin window / rack and not in the Ableton browser).

Here is the issue with the current browser of Charlatan 3 when using Ableton 11: once you save a preset to a custom folder, the Charlatan 3 preset browser will point to that custom folder and you cannot access the factory presets. Would be nice if the Charlatan 3 browser can show more than one directory (eg the factory directory + an added custom directory)

Also: when saving a preset and then making changes, I'm unable to save the preset in the changed state.

Where can I find Presets for C3 ?? Something along the lines of Classic 70's Prog Rock. Don't have the skills yet, but can alter existing sounds if need be.

The beta was just released a few days earlier. I doubt that there are many, if any third party presets for it yet.

It is probably better to wait before investing too much time in making presets as he might still change internal stuff, which might render beta presets incompatible with the final version.

On my 1366x768 resolution it is too big. For others with super duper resolutions it is tiny.
Hard to please everyone with all those resolutions out there...

Hey, if you're on Windows Charlatan puts the Presets in the Apps/Roaming section of your hard drive. I've had to deal with this before. I just copied and paste them into the Documents folder for Charlatan. Showed right up.

I do not intend to introduce any breaking change to the synth architecture at this point, so presets created today should be readable by future releases.

Looks like I'm able to reproduce the crashes in Renoise and Studio One and will investigate. Thanks for letting me know.

A randomize and panic button could be nice . Charlatan 3 sounds and looks great ! I do miss the simplicity of the previous versions . Most midi keyboards have 8 turn knobs, would be nice if you had something for that : )
