Didn't RTFM and dived in so got what I deserved initially, nothing or it just echoed a key pressed, but then found that I could get MIDI out successfully from a layer in Quadra by going into Tree view, right clicking on say Layer A and choosing Add Event Processor > MIDI Out.
...
Got this output when using Percussion Factory and adding a MIDI Out on each slot so Slot 1 -> MIDI channel 1, Slot 2 -> MIDI channel 2 etc.
I Can not get this to work in Bitwig (5.0.11). I can output midi but everything is always on channel 1, no matter what I set the MIDI out to. Tried with Percussion Factory (slots) and also from scratch with a new patch with layers. I have tried messing with settings here and there but no luck...
I have no problem with other plugins outputting multiple channels like HY-RPE.
I’ll take a look in a bit, I’ve got Bitwig. That was what I got in Reaper.

Hello, please can you fix the Factory Rev2 MPE presets, a whole bunch of them aren't working.
Work in progress. We wait to see if there are other report to release the update.
Thanks !

I wonder if this is related to Falcon being a VI
vs a MIDI plugin and the DAW remove the channel.
Need to check if there is a bug in the Juce wrapper but as this works in other DAW I wonder.
Would be interresting to check with Bitwig guys though

I now can't get the MIDI outputs to differentiate in either Reaper or Bitwig so that's really bloody confusing. In both now everything comes out on channel 1 even if I select different MIDI output channels on the Slots/Layers (depending on the Multi).

Did I just bloody dream all this?

Edit: Going to try with creating my own multi rather than editing a pre-existing one.

OK so this odd. I have now just created a really simple instrument, in Part 1 just an arpeggiator, MIDI Out to channel 4 and a MIDI monitor script processor. At the Part level, I can see MIDI channel 4 notes being created, they're just getting converted to channel 1 on the way out of Falcon for some reason.

ftr in the screenshot there was a second script processor which I deleted and it made no difference to the output.

One good thing from this is I've discovered how much fun the new arpeggiator options are!

I thought I was starting to get somewhere, but then Falcon died and took my DAW with it. Time for zzzz's

I just checked this with Reaper by adding a MidiMonitor Plugin directly behind Falcon and yes, the selected MIDI Channel of the MIDI Out module is ignored and the Note Events are always on Channel 1. And as I use my own MIDI sequenzer as VST plugin in Reaper I can say for sure that Reaper supports different MIDI Channels (because of Ableton Live, you actually have to mention something that should be self-evident).

Add a script processor node after that MIDI Out node of type utilities Midi Monitor and you'll see it is creating the notes on the right channel at least at that point

Thanks guys for confirming, it seems like there is something wrong with the midi output of Falcon then (after the midi monitor script...).

Issue found for MIDI out channel handling and support in Standalone :)
This will be fixed in next version.

UVI is really proving they are customer and community friendly with this upgrade.
- a lot of new features and content for free
- full transparency on issues and little bugs
- great reactivity on communication.

Well done 👍💪👏

It is this level of support that makes UVI the number one developer for me. :tu:
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Please, solve problem with Russian IP’s. I can’t enter the website, can’t use UVI Portal, nothing... Infinite loaders everywhere. It’s not devs question, but very important, because I have quiet a lot of your products and use some of them on a daily basis.

bnz wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 6:16 pm Is there any update on the list of supported SFZ opcodes since the last post about it (I think back in 2019)?
we didn't add any. What are the one you are missing ?
I primarly think it would be awesome if it could be documented properly somwhere, so that everyone would know what to expect when building SFZs for import in Falcon. SFZs are really great for building something as a starting point that can then be refined inside Falcon. Ideally something like this: https://sfz.tools/sfizz/development/status/opcodes/ ;-) With such a list, I can probably answer better what I'd like to see (for fairness sake, it's possible to document this in a more pragmatic way too as done here: https://github.com/sfzformat/sfzformat. ... ki/Players). In any case, it's pretty great that Falcon supports SFZs at all unlike some competitors.

Maybe that was my issue too. When I used MIDI out to record the actual arp pattern from Falcon onto a second track, (based on chords played on the Falcon track), it only recorded the chords and not the arp output.
