Anyone test out the latest upgraded version?

Or at least research/read into it?

What are your thoughts....

Don't waste your money on it.

If I said you are blocked, I won't see your posts. Please kindly refrain from quoting or replying to me.
"Notifications for Nothing" are annoying. Blocking me in return is a good way to avoid this.

If it's anything like Vegas, I would avoid.
Vegas is buggy and half baked. I actually subscribed to Adobe, just because Vegas was so annoying

SoundForge is solid enough though. Been using it for years.
Probably because they haven't had to change much with that (other than remove the Acid Looping toolbar, which still annoys me to this day, as I used that to get the BPM of a sample's selected region)

Upgraded to v10 several years ago just be able to open/read some old ACID projects from yesteryear but Magix is not what I would call a "professional" level vendor.

They seem do the absolute minimum each version just to keep the old Sonic Foundry/Sony code running - but the UI still looks like WIndows XP and the feature/functions are still very 2008.

When v11 dropped - I seemed to get a promo email every third day on it - with a price of like $39 bucks or something like that. It was clear that they are willing to discount to ridiculous levels just to shift a unit or two.

I still have v10 installed but cannot remember the last time I used it for any real purpose except the occasional listening session for some old Acid libraries I have in the stash here.

I would not drop major dollars on this here in 2023 as almost every decent DAW does everything that ACID could ever do (including playing back Acid files) a hundred time better with modern UIs and modern tools.

YMMV

I find ACID to be a masterful tool
I have 10 installed here

Magix did very well to comprehend Sonic Foundry and Sony's code

The quantising is fiddly though last time I tried it
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

i was using Acid Pro early.2000 and it was fun. I think I bought it for some money 1,5 years sgo.

GUI wise not much has changed in 20 years and the fonts are tiny on high res displays.

An upgrade from 10 is not worth unless you want additional plugins.

However it is still worth to use if you want to build a perfect non live mix. You can put the tracks in grid and do EQ actions or other processing on the tracks and go forward and back.. Meanimg tthat you can mix together tracks not possible live as you xan cortol anything at a giben point in time line.

This is working for me Better as in Maschine or Reaper.

I use Machine to mix sound I created together. I use Acid Pro as my tool to mix tracks from other artists together. No Tractor or Record Box, as i dont mix live..

The beatmachting is still good for AcidPro. Might be that Ableton has such feature. But AcidPro is someting you may got fot 50 bucks.
