The onboard sequencer acts like the arp on the Prologue 16 where it records velocity as well, so you can do accents and rests using velocity differences.

But I have a X0XB0X Tb-303 clone that can sequence from CV/Gate or midi.

Here its controlling a Minimoog

I do hear quite a lot of similarities

Well I use Cherry Audio's Memorymode for those silky bass sounds, and it does it really well for a plugin. Part of the reason why I'm so interested in Trigon 6, but also Behringer's possible Polysource/Memory, although that is probably years away.

If I remember correctly, Jan Hammer used a Memorymoog for his bass sounds too.

Mostly I'm curious as to whether or not the voice modulation on the Trigon is half as good as the MM, there really isn't anything quite like it out there. It's too bad the MM was so unstable at launch and that the used market has it in the $12,000-23,000 range. It should be emulated by everyone, but it's not.

Just grabbed one of these.
Build quality is really nice.
They've taken a classic synth architecture... and added features (distortion, effects, aftertouch, etc) to bring it more in-line with today's expectations.

Trigon 6 is a lot simpler than the Moog One.
But, I have to say that (already)... I like it better.
No intonation issues. No fans.
The sound is exactly what you'd expect.
Yes, I wish it had more voices.
In today's world, 6-voices feels fairly limited.
That said, if you consider this instead of something like a Model-D reissue, you're getting a lot more bang-for-the-buck.

Great overall balance of features.
Just found out that you can use Poly-Chain... to double the polyphony (12 voices) using two Trigon 6 units.
Will probably add a Trigon 6 module to make that happen.

messing around with the Trigon 6 chord mode

Tempo sync'ed LFO modulation,
changing between 24db and 12db filter modes with some drive,
bringing in the analog distortion and BBD style delay in and out.

Trigon 6, getting that Jupiter 8 swirling sound.
Dry and unprocessed

First synth I have played that has been able to do it so far, since my JP8 departed to synth heaven

First just 1 sawtooth oscillator.
Then I bring in the second sawtooth oscillator.
Then third with PWM.
Turn on sawtooth on third oscillator
Switch sawtooth, to reverse sawtooth on third oscillator

Yeah it is surprisingly versatile and still sounds gorgeous.

I was comparing it today, as a mono synth Moog bass machine against my Matrixbrute, using the ladder filter for both.

And they sound fairly similar, with the Matrixbrute having a rounded tone, and the Trigon more percussive feeling.
It is so percussive and snappy feeling in the VCA response, with deep subs.

The Matrixbrute could match my departed SH-2 as well
So here is a polysynth that can do punchy and raw mono synth tones as well

When I last compared the Trigon with the Matrixbrute, with a sawtooth and the 24db Ladder filter, with and without resonance they sounded so similar.
With the Matrixbrute being more rubbery and the Trigon percussive

Well that changed when I added in the second and third oscillator - they end up sounding nothing a like!
Matrixbrute sounded like a different alien altogether when that second oscillator mixed in, the waveform and shapes mix together differently.

And for sure the Trigon can sound so much like a Minimoog.
The way the waveforms and oscillators mesh together had my Minimoog sensor tingling (used to own one), and is just as snappy/punchy, wonder if they copied the VCA from the Minimoog. It has the same kind of thump.

Depends if you have the time and energy, but direct comparisons between the Minimoog and Trigon 6 would be interesting. Here is at least one video I found:

I don't know own a Minimoog anymore, I sold my 70s era model back in the early 2000s.

It had midi as well

Trigon-6 module arrived today (got it so I could use "Polychain" with the Trigon-6 keyboard).
Got everything connected, worked for about 10 minutes.
Then, the Trigon-6 keyboard developed a problem.
Mod-Wheel is stuck on 100%... and Pitch-Bend only bends down (bending up doesn't work).
I've powered the unit down and back up... problem persists.
Looks to be a hardware issue.
What a buzz kill...

EDIT:
Recalibrating the Pitch and Mod-Wheels seems to have resolved the issue.
Very odd.
Will use it throughout the day... and see if the issue crops back up.

Since I can't bring myself to buy a Trigon 6 at such prices, I'll have to make do with my Korg KingKorg instead.
