I think I used Pro Tools and an MBox for my home studio back in 2006, thought it was great at the time.

I thought PT dropped the whole DSP card thing ages ago, like the early 00s, back when NuBus cards for Mac roamed the earth. Talk about lock in, not even PT software could really be upgraded.
