This will be fixed in next version.
Sorry about that.
great that you are working on this! really hope there is a way to record the midi from the falcon sequencers in logic pro x.

We are in dire need of a manual/tutorial for the different daws on how to get the midi out function working! one of the main reasons i purchased falcon 3!

We had lots of attack from Russia and China hence we have banned those IP so far.
Your best bet right now is to use a VPN

bnz wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 6:16 pm Is there any update on the list of supported SFZ opcodes since the last post about it (I think back in 2019)?
we didn't add any. What are the one you are missing ?
I primarly think it would be awesome if it could be documented properly somwhere, so that everyone would know what to expect when building SFZs for import in Falcon. SFZs are really great for building something as a starting point that can then be refined inside Falcon. Ideally something like this: https://sfz.tools/sfizz/development/status/opcodes/ ;-) With such a list, I can probably answer better what I'd like to see (for fairness sake, it's possible to document this in a more pragmatic way too as done here: https://github.com/sfzformat/sfzformat. ... ki/Players). In any case, it's pretty great that Falcon supports SFZs at all unlike some competitors.

Unfortunately Logic do not handle Instrument with MIDI out, but you can probably cheat using the standalone version and send to a virtual output that is setup in Logic.

It will do it for certain AUi's. Reason Rack, Blue Arp, Theysis and Reaktor all show up as MIDI FX in Logic here. I don't think it's possible to get sound out of Reason Rack or Reaktor when used like this though, just MIDI.

Post

yeah would be a missed opportunity if there is no way to do this in logic pro, it must be possible and a tutorial/explanation on how to do it would be most welcome :)

Post

MIDI FX is just that - MIDI in, MIDI out, process between. It does not generate audio. Logic never supported MIDI output for instrument plugins.

Post

then its a sad thing! there must be a workaround?

Post

Only by routing outside of Logic via IAC busses.

Post

thanks for the reply. but; if i understand correctly: I should be able to use the standalone version to send midi out (via my audio interface) to a hardware synth, right?

Sure, but Reaktor and Reason Rack can both be used as MIDI FX, similarly it should be possible for Falcon to publish as an AU MIDI FX plugin it's MIDI in/out, although it would take extra work on UVI's side obviously.

Personally I've never cared for the way Apple did AUi MIDI out VS VSTi's, since you lose the ability to get audio out like you mentioned, the most common use case to me being MIDI out from a drum VSTi like the MPC, Reaktor etc. where you might want to trigger a drum in Kontakt etc. Since the AU MIDI FX of MPC for instance cannot play it's own drum tracks.

Hello, please can you fix the Factory Rev2 MPE presets, a whole bunch of them aren't working.
Work in progress. We wait to see if there are other report to release the update.
Thanks !
I’m having the same issue. It’s a bug, but I found a work around. Go to the event processor and just click on the MPE drop down menu and select MPE. Then it just works.

For what it’s worth, MIDI out in Ableton worked first try with the VST3.

The current issue is all MIDI output gets sent to channel 1, which no-one would notice using Ableton as it does that with everything anyway.
