Great, thanks. What about the GUI please? It looks terrible on 4K monitorsandy-cytomic wrote: Fri Oct 27, 2023 2:49 am Update: I've added VST3 support, and added native Apple Silicon support to The Drop. I will add an accurate SSM2040 based filter in both LP and HP to The Drop based on the same modelling that is done for the SSM2040 chip in the VCV Rack module. It won't be identical since the DC compensation will be slightly different, and I'll have to make some simplifications for the MD version. In addition The Drop will receive a "proper" high pass version in 2 and 4 pole, where the SSM2040 chip is re-configured to create a true 4 pole high pass response. The band pass and other responses will not be included in The Drop, only the true HP2 HP4 and the LP2 LP4, but the core SSM2040 chip behaviour will be modelled throughout.audiouser720 wrote: Fri Oct 27, 2023 11:30 am Sorry if this has already been answered but will the SSM2040 model from VCV be implemented into The Drop sometime in the future?
edit: do you have any suggestions at to the three letter naming you'd like? SM4?

Can you please email support@cytomic.com with your specific operating system, plugin version, and DAW?enCiphered wrote: Fri Oct 27, 2023 11:34 amGreat, thanks. What about the GUI please? Yeah, SM4 is as good as it gets.
The only thing is, if continuity is a factor: I believe the rest of the models were labelled after the signature synths the chips were used in, rather than the chip itself (JPR, MS2 etc), and if you want to emphasise that this chip was most prominent in P5 rev 1/2, then it could be labelled as PRO, or PR5, or something. But then if you want to model the rev3 curtis in the future, it might become too convoluted. On a side note, considering all the existing models in The Drop, I personally think the P5 rev3 filter is quite redundant.

Excellent point. There is already the PRD for the Moog Prodigy, so PR? may not be ideal, but there is also the SMP so SM? isn’t ideal (where ? is a single character). P51?audiouser720 wrote: Fri Oct 27, 2023 12:28 pm Sounds super cool, can’t wait.

I would appreciate emu z-plane filters. Or even a simple Notch filter instead of yet another lowpass.andy-cytomic wrote: Fri Oct 27, 2023 12:51 pmExcellent point. The Drop is an analog modelled filter module. z-plane filters are digital, and don't actually sound that good by modern standards. In the future I may code a more complex morphing filter modulation tool with the ability to do formant and other filter responses, and morph between them, but The Drop is deliberately limited to HP -> LP to keep the processing workflow clean and easy to understand.Dip200 wrote: Fri Oct 27, 2023 1:16 pm I would appreciate emu z-plane filters. I'm aware of that, thanks. I disagree on the sound tho, I absolutely love the filters of the Emulator-X.andy-cytomic wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2023 6:55 amThe Drop is an analog modelled filter module. z-plane filters are digital, and don't actually sound that good by modern standards. I love The Drop, full stop. At the same time, I’m growing to love Filtershaper XL. And I would love polyphonic functionality like your VCV filter in The Drop. I know it’s probably not going to happen, but I have to humbly suggest a few feature suggestions:
(1) CLAP implementation for polyphony
(2) Additional bandpass and notch filters
(3) a modulation system like Filtershaper XL
Thank you for your consideration.

Taste really is different..I had an ultra proteus for years which had the z plane filters too, and I never found anything particular special with the filters and I kept thinking people who were going on and on about how great the z plane filters were, were punking us.Dip200 wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2023 12:14 pm .....

Isnt there some kind of Airwindows z-plane replica? Please dont ask me how its exactly called, as I am totally lost in his vast and also a bit overwhelming catalogue. Might be worth to check out, if you are after that kind of sound.
