I am still on 5.0 as I didn't find too many useful things in Studio 6 (i already have dynamic eqs, deessers etc).
Maybe 7 will entice me to upgrade, but I am currently also evaluation Reaper.

This may be off topic. If so, my apologies. But does anyone know if there is an MI trade publication or website that breaks down the market share of each DAW? I'm curious to know where Studio One Pro stands.

I've been told by someone who has insider information that even though Logic is Mac-only, Apple has sold well over a hundred thousand copies of Logic most likely due to its amazingly comprehensive feature set and almost unbelievably low price. That would no doubt make Logic the best selling DAW by a large margin.

But I'd like to see some real numbers to back this up.

^^^ Then when you realize that in Logic there's no MIDI routing except within a given track, you understand why it's cheap

ofc. can play with the IAC MIDI loopback stuff ... well have fun with it (but let's wait Logic11)

I mean, OK, but that's not why it's cheap.

Interesting that, of the majority of KVR members, there are just over 40 users that use Studio One, than the number of those under 30 that don't.

Add up the numbers from the four points of the poll and you get 44 users of Studio One and 29 that use another DAW.

The killer is, why its now somehow 'interesting' to write again and tell us all, how 'interesting' the results are in satiating that initial interest (to start the poll, for himself).

Which, now we know, those results seemingly have.! Huzzah.!

I guess there was simply no way for us to know otherwise.

That probably has something to do with it being a Studio One user-centric poll.

Here's something that might actually be of interest - I've just finished setting up yet another new laptop and getting everything working in Studio One again has been the least hassle I've encountered so far. So it seems that 6.5 addresses some of the little hassles that have made moving songs from one machine to another a lot more painful than it needs to be. The biggest improvement by far has been in recognising plugins. Previously I have had to remove spaces in DLL names and do stupid shit like that to get things to show up but this time it all just worked, every plugin was recognised first time!

About the only problem I have had to deal with is that DS-Thorn won't recall the patch it was using in a song so I have to save them out individually from another machine and load them manually for every song I use it in (which is most of them). But that's been going on for a while now so it's become an easy fix.

I'll expect a 30% off Studio One, Presonus only had a 50% off back in 2016.
Seems end-of-year sale with 30% off on StudioOne Pro is here.

Nov 20 2018 I upgraded from v2 to v4 with 50% off, so not sure I'll grab it now.
- unless on black friday suddenly 50% off over the day

30% off good.
