An idiot on Set Theory:

As much as I like GForce's plugins, I have to agree here. OP-X PRO-II for the Oberheim is what Repro is for the Prophet. It really nails it. It sounds full and warm, and sometimes unapologetically thin. I'd wish someone would hire SonicProjects to bring their emulation engine into other plugins, which may have more features and a more refined UI.Choikdoi wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 11:03 am While I do like Gforce, I still think SonicProjects' OP-X PRO-II is the better option for this emulation. In terms of sound, anyway. This Gforce one may have some better / additional features.

I love your wit and humor, and frankly based on that I can’t understand why you would. The dude is constantly taking any opportunity to bring people down. He’s not joking around, engaging in some pragmatic or constructive criticism. Anyway, if that’s your thing, you do you.Aloysius wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2023 11:57 am I'd hang out with BONES long before I'd hang out with his haters.

BONES is surely one of the more useful characters in here.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Each analog filter structure has its own drive characteristics, and when driven give very different tones. Resonance can definitely make the differences more obvious to hear. A good filter should sound good with resonance turned up high or left down low, and the type of filter definitely makes or breaks a synth as it is such a large part of the sound.BONES wrote: Thu Oct 26, 2023 10:49 pm If you're not using any resonance, then of course it won't matter what filter you use but the behaviour of the resonance gives a filter a lot of its character, which makes it a very important part of what makes a synth good or bad.
