You can try to push "Stop" button in the Falcon transport control. Usually it reset all stuck keys.

Double post, sorry. :D

I am doing a really bad job of not buying this so far. The only thing that has saved me is UVI is apparently using a raspberry pi and a dial-up modem for hosting their web site.

Seriously it's taking over a minute to load each page, and some fail. Might be temporary but not having any issue with other sites in Europe or the US.

edit: ...and it's fine now. Weird, was totally junky for me for ~24h.

I've spent a few more hours fiddling around and I think I have reproduced this performance regression with:

1. falcon3 +
2. new rev2 presets, especially most of the ones in the Sequences category.

There's a very high per note CPU cost, and playing 30-100 note events per second will completely overload a single core, which is all that Falcon will allow. This "cpu cost of every midi note on event" appears to be much worse than in falcon 2.x.

Post

Falcon desperately needs multi core support.
It’s too cpu intensive.

I know, it's totally a sign. Of course I am also terrible at taking good advice.

Yeah, this is UVI's model for a lot of their stuff. For a lot of their products this is what actually prevents me from wanting them - compare something like USQ-1 to SQ-80 V for example, and there's just no comparison - Arturia wins by a mile.

However, with Falcon, it seems much more fundamental to me and wouldn't bother me at all.

The one thing keeping me from buying v3 is that I just have so much of it covered in other synths. But as others say, nothing really collects it all in one quite like Falcon.

I am so spoiled by the Phase Plant workflow at this point that Falcon's might be something that keeps me from using it much, though.

Eh. Maybe I'll SonicPass it for a month and give it a shot. It will go on sale again, no rush.

If you are into ambient music and scoring Falcon seems great for that, it has great sampling engines.

Does anyone have a solution for the abysmal download speeds in UVI portal outside of contacting support? I got a notification of an update for Falcon 3 and even after 3+ ours it's only at 32%.

Thanks for the tip! But I'm getting the same 30kb/s speed through that. I'll keep looking.

They had a problem with a few countries, including Germany IIRC.
