I suspect Relab's will be totally indistinguishable from hardware, but also not be released any time soon. There's something to be said for being first out of the gate with a good product.

I suspect Relab's will be totally indistinguishable from hardware, but also not be released any time soon. There's something to be said for being first out of the gate with a good product.

I do not get the obsession of being super close to a decades old hardware.
I prefer usability, uniqueness and sound quality when it comes to emulations.
Nobody likes my strange music more because I use these super close hardware clones.

I knew nothing about this history of these units, so I'm looking at articles now. If the Yardstick is based on the original QRS algorithm, what's the sonic difference?

Sounds great what I hear but I can't switch to other plugin GUIs. I get frozen FX windows with these plugins. Just frozen.
Insert plugin, and it takes a bit to open the GUI. Then the screen is stuck to this GUI. Can't switch to another plugin's GUI.
I think I read something about some GUI prob before but forgot where and what the possible solution was. Would like to test more as it sounds really great what I heard so far. This is on win using Reaper 7 64.
