So….
Can we expect any NEW not renewed instruments from Roland this year?
You know, something like JP8080 for example…
Somehow I can see tumble weeds spinning across the desert and dead silence

maybe not complete silence, but at best, you can expect to get the stock "we love to hear from you, we will put that on the list" (and then ignore it) answer.Atlatnesiti wrote: Sun Oct 29, 2023 10:52 am So….

Hi all, I just joined while I'm in the hospital. Please forgive any crazy things I might say while I'm in my current doped up state.
A drunk driver slammed into the driver side of my beloved Honda Element. My left leg is broken in several places and my pelvis is fractured. My left arm and collarbone are also broken. Thank god for oxycontin. That shit is amazing.
Unfortunately, I have an "addictive personality" and thus don't drink, gamble, etc. Otherwise I would probably now be smoking oxy all day every day. But I have a demanding job and a precious family to take care of.
Anyway, I wanted to make a humble request that Roland create a plugin version of the Alpha Juno 2 / MKS-50. I love that synth. I think it would be a really nice addition to Roland Cloud. But maybe I'm just too high on oxycontin to think straight.

Thank you for your gracious well wishes. But holy shit, I don't even remember making that post. I couldn't even remember my name, date of birth, or where I was when the nurse asked me last night. I was so loopy on oxycontin that my brain apparently shut down.Septic Underground wrote: Mon Oct 30, 2023 2:04 pm Yeah Alpha Juno would be great. Hope you recover soon.
So the doctors have switched me to morphine because there is a very real risk that I could stop breathing on the amount of oxycontin I was being administered. I'm now in agony but at least coherent.

Roland JD990, JP8000, V-Synth and/or VP9000 and Variphrase tech...there's so many digital synths and technology that deserves a revival. I wish Roland Cloud wasn't so slow and a lot more transparent about what they're doing.

Am I correct in saying the individual synths can't be downloaded and installed through a specific installer per synth?
That is to say there isn't a standalone Juno60Installer.exe or a JX3PInstaller.exe right? You have to go through the Cloud Manager app instead for all the Roland software?

Yep, that is the only way to install them and also you need to keep the Roland cloud software in place to ‘dial home’ regularly

They sure are - updating existing instruments and adding few sound banks
Looks like nothing new on the horizon though
