No, as far as I can tell. I sent them an email offering to include some presets for v2 out of my 800 I've created, and I'd happily do it for free since I love the synth. Still waiting for their reply.
Story of my life :):):)Got 7000 for Synthmaster - the developer ask the kvr admin to delete my posts when write something about these presets, over 5000 for Tone2 synths - the developer start to reject me out of its topics if mention it...if somebody could explain to me what is the logic of these guys...but it seems everybody is talking about same issues synths have ,just if a sound designer say it loud it's heresy, especially in my case ,which is rare,if you offer them something new the reaction is shocking, reject even possibility for conversation......as a joke said: Bond -James Bond...off - f..k o.f to them all, will spend for quality effects more and for their shi..y synths NOOOOOTHING ...may learn something about power of the user some day.And that's me not even trying to ruin somebody's reputation, but just to talk - pretty sure if record and upload all the shi.y bugs and crashes i had last 7-8 year will decrease somebody;s sells, but i'm just not that type of person and what is most disappointing, they are that they seems are that exact type...nevermind.Cheers :)

Maybe you're a bit too insistent. Just a thought.

Yep,i am,but so was Tesla and Schliemann and now we have electricity and troy found :)
I don't understand technical part, but have more working sound design hours ,than some programmers in programming ,but if you are not a big name ,some famous rich mediocre musician you are nobody for them, but if a multimilion selling albums somebody tell them he want the green button to become blue, thats a huge news hahha..i'm just super disgusted of how fake and commercial is all the development of music tools these days...can say a lot more in details, but will get too emotional and prefer not to go there anymore publicly :)Music is fantasy, only limitation is your imagination :)Cheers :)

I sent some presets to serum and they didn't even listen to the presets. That was the LAST thing on their mind. The audio, pictures, video is what they look at - and NOT the presets - go figure. They went on about a good video, yet on their site, quite a few videos just a gray background and some mediocre-ish music. Sound design for synths for companies doesn't make sense all the time lol. Tell me the presets suck are something - which is impossible, imo. But don't tell me the video isn't good enough when it's an actual video and not a gray background like in your either videos on your site. It's nice when things make sense atleast. This just doesn't.

I LOVE the marketing scheme of Spire though. The company who made the synth hosts the shop for all the soundsets - THIS is the way. They probably make more money on that shop than the synth brings in!

I bet they do.

Unfortunately, the side effect is that synth development is pretty slow, while they seem to focus on the money making side of business. You know, understandable, but, the plugin is 11 years old now, and, to my knowledge, the successor is in developments since at least 5 years now. Spire 1 still feels like a construction site, pretty much.

Spire, Serum, Massive, etc, lost probably hundreds of K not hosting the banks on the site, choosing only selective banks, that are highly subjective. Just open the whole shop up, let customers do the judging, then earn on every sale.

two-three weeks ago i said to myself ok i'm done with sound design...will release everything for free and not gonna care anymore.... then i felt so empty it was almost revelation that i can't just quit 10 years of my life just like that,so decide to release all the projects i work seriously last few years,so to continue good old symbolic income, which as always will go to some developer of another music related soft or hardware, kind of not to break food chain hahaha ,but plan seriously to use more free synths and to upload more quality free stuff in 2024,which will be in user's interest only, not to greedy developers :)
If we have a serious developers to listen devoted designers MUSICAL ideas i am sure synths will become more and more musical, popular and useful.
Last 10 years the music is getting more robotic, mechanical, lifeless and boring than ever, because the tools are developed in that mechanical direction.
This is what disgust me the most, rejection even to talk with these 'pals' cause i'm nobody hahahah ...not sure 10 years from now how many of them will be somebody....anyway the music evolve and so the tools and i think the friendly conversation is in mutual benefit, but with reactions i saw so far not very optimistic about that.
Anyway music is possitive emotion and inspiration so friendly talk is a must have to me,idiotism is unwanted in any form.
I had a good intention to share something from my experience, but if nobody care i don't care neither - will continue to develop what i develop, so, who knows where things will be 10 years from now :)
Always optimist :)
Cheers :)

What a revelation it must be to have such an unparalleled genius gracing us with their divine presence in the world of sound design.
Your noble sacrifice to continue gracing us with your superior presets is truly something to behold. And thank you for being so kind as to feed the starving developers out there with your hard-earned work.
We, the ignorant masses, shall await your musical enlightenment with bated breath!
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really loving Largo 2 now.
I got so fed up with the original that I stopped using it a few years ago.
Of course, it's not perfect, but the major things (for me) that were broken with it have been fixed,
and it's like I'm re-discovering it all over again, but this time without the frustration. :tu:

"Something looking flat, because the modern guys do it like that, but let's add some 3D flavor to it by adding a shadow on top of the knob so that it looks rounded, like an egg ... or my bald head."

But then, they (erm ... him) forgot to imprint his 'vision' on all knobs (if you look closely, smiley).

What a poor result.
Harsh...

It's most likely for vector graphics that can scale and work with HD resolution... Most likely for apple retina, given the other apple focused changes in this.

If it's a new base for more VST development then I think it's great!

Oh come on. Making virtual instruments is such a niche, and fairly low margin business.

Can you really call people wanting to do creative programming work greedy...? I'd say its at best pretty high risk, needs a lot of knowledge and time to build a good synth.

Now preset creators... 100 presets for half the cost of a synth... Good value?
