What are some of your favourite weird reverbs? Not talking about realistically modelling a space, but for use in sound design, etc.

I've been really loving Black Hole although sometimes find it hard to get it sitting neatly in a mix. NI Raum is also good for creating really odd soundscapes.

Please share some other suggestions

My first thought is Tone2 Multi-FX, which started out as Warmverb.

Looks interesting. Will demo. Great price too.

I see that it states something like freeze function with ability to block input. That's great- not sure if Raum can do that. Although there's probably a lot it can do that I haven't yet figured out.

Eventide Tverb doesn't get enough attention.
It's not weird though. It's just different.

Raum is just great and totally different than Ambient Reverb, which might share some similarities with Valhalla Room.

Adaptiverb is really unique.

Extremely musical and not really like any other reverb. Like a cross between a synth and a reverb.

It's a beautiful thing and imho unbeatable for sound design soundscapes and drones etc.

Sinevibes Albedo, granular reverb.

Very unique sounding and as far as I know, it's the only granular reverb available beside the one in Kyma.

Check out the latest from United called Quick Muse. I just fired up the demo. I really like it. I haven't delved in but am just using it's randomization features. I like what it's doing. It's only 9€ intro!

I have made a few that are deliberately not like the others. Not intended to be weird as such, merely not the usual diffuse washy-washy thing. it is a kind of vintage feel with lots more detail and lumpy-chunky-rattles which works great for what I do (not only personal music but client mixes).

This one has run with me for years now (as you can tell from the horrid headset sound)
