Introducing 2 Brand New VST3 plugins!

Qx-Comp
A new type of dynamics processor

Qx-Comp is a 2 band dynamic EQ where the EQ bands are controlled by a robust suite of knobs more akin to a compressor. But also with an "X" factor! The gain reduction from the current band can be inverted to a gain increase signal and blended into the opposing band. This allows the bands to influence each other to add dynamics but still be able to maintain a more balanced loudness. Or, when pushed, for more creative sound design purposes.

RLC-79
Inspired by an RMS Limiter/Compressor from 1979

RLC-79 is a program dependent like "true RMS" compressor
with straightforward operation and a simple interface.
It's unique character lends itself well to a variety of percussive material
(kick drums, toms, bass guitar and more).

More info and downloads here:
psychocircuitry.com

Currently Windows x64 VST3 only! (I apologize, but with enough support and interest I'd like to expand to offer builds for more platforms and formats in the future!)

The downloads are provided free of charge as donationware. If you find it useful or would like to use it on projects you intend to monetize through goods or services, it is requested that you make a small donation.

I believe in maximum accessibility - NOT arbitrary paywalls - and a hassle(as well as DRM!)-free software experience.

Thanks for your time!

Great job. I haven't had a chance to dig into Qx-Comp, but I'm thoroughly enjoying RLC-79.

Awesome! Great to hear!

Qx-Comp can seem a little intimidating at first (feature packed), but it's really pretty easy and quick to use once you get the gist of the workflow.

There's a detailed overview/walk through of it (and RLC-79 too) on the YouTube channel, if that might be helpful!

Thanks! It does sound really good on a lot of percussive material

The mac versions don't work, there's no way to allow them in security and privacy, normally when you hit cancel, you get an option to allow, you don't get that with yours.

They look awesome, so hopefully you can get them fixed. MacOS Sonoma 14/Intel.

I get a parse error when trying to use the terminal command.

EDIT: USER ERROR :D

These are great compressors! Congrats

You have to edit the command to set the folder and plugin names.

For example, the commands for the RLC79 VST3 and AU are:

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/RLC79.component

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/RLC79.vst3

If you copied them into the plugin folders in your home folder then change /Library to ~/Library

Thanks for this, the tilde did the trick :)

Thanks for the quick help on this @sprnva!

Yes, sorry for the lack of code-signing. I'm still getting familiar with dev on MacOS ecosystem and don't have the correct credentials to sign yet.

I'm excited to try out QxComp, but I'm having trouble getting it to show up in Cubase (both 12 + 13). I've used an alternate VST host program (Element) and it shows up in there without a problem. Both programs point to the same VST3 folder. Is there anything special I will have to do for Cubase to recognize it?

Sorry to hear about the issue. I'll look into this. What OS are you on? Is this with windows or Mac vst3 in Cubase?

Thanks for your interest.
