I have a recording of a song by an old band of mine recorded on a four track recorder. The drums came out too low and can barely be heard on playback. I downloaded LaLal.AI and selected the song. I then selected Drums as a stem file which yielded Drums and Without Drums on the right side of the screen. When I leave the drums at full volume and decrease the Without Drums volume and preview, it comes out perfect. However, when I select Process Entire File it yelds two separate files, not a combined finished file. I am completely new to this. Is there something I'm not doing or is the program unable to adjust the volume of a stem separately?

You might misunderstand what the software does - Lalal _only_ does the separation and gives you files back. It sounds like you got to the preview stage, where Lalal shows you an example of what it will do to the whole file.

So yes, when you clicked 'Process Entire File' it gives you two files; one only drums and the other everything else, for the full length of the song. Now you can put these 2 files in your DAW, in line so the play at the same time, and process or adjust the volume of the drums.

Then, your DAW (Cubase, Live, Sonar..) has the ability to ''bounce' or 'render' the output back into 1 file for you to enjoy.

Thank you!
