WTF......Waves? I really trying in late 2023

First off....I am posting here first because I am frustrated and want an audience to hear me bitch....then Ill send a support request to Waves.

So.....My Windows 7 finally crashed. Took the opportunity to install Win 10. With this decided to pick up a few V14 Waves stuff second hand ( already had V 10 version). It was cheaper than WUP ( initially.... more in a bit). I had been on V 10 for years was afraid to even launch Waves Central as it always did something funky.

Installed WC 14.. It recognized all V 10....sweet. Now lets try my new V14 purchase.....Here is where we go side ways. Here are some pics showing the download of the plugins. Note the math. Note the fact it downloaded nearly twice the file size.
Note the download percentage doesnt change.

I am on a Rual Brazil internet. Its EXPENSIVE!!!!!! This wasted effort cost not only time but real money. Almost as much as I paid for the plugin.

I was so optimistic. I really like Waves stuff but dammm......now I feel like deleting WC selling the acct....( if I can) and move on....

I think you should report this to your internet provider to have your internet faster and uncapped. Most of the countries in this world have high speeds and unlimited downloads. Companies are adapting to the changes and able us offer higher quality products with longer codes, sample content ect, therefore ISP in Brasil should have to adapt too.

By the way your internet speed is similar like i had in 2004 (nearly 20 years ago) and i live in a country where internet started to go mainstream and affordable to the middle-richer class in only in 2001. Our family was in the mid of the poor and the mid therefore i was able to have internet only few years later.

Oh.....how good for you.
Nearby village got power about the same time you got Internet. Internet was radio waves until 2014. Now it is cell signal using rf antenea.
It is 10 times better than 4 years ago... Still using 3g here. Is what it is. I can do most things I want to do. This includes ilok, Native Access and similar bs. As you can see I downloaded over 600mb of a 300mb plugin in less than 1 hr....pretty damn good for here.

Except it is a fresh install of Windows 10, Waves Central and V14 plug in. As a matter of fact I was quite pleased that the new waves central immediately recognized and authorized all my V10 plug-ins and they work fine.

My issue is 600mb of a 300 mb pluging sitting at 50%. Now it could be that my internet dropped out and it restarted and the total mb downloaded over all is being shown and the percentage is stuck.......but seriously. We have had download managers for 20+ years. Even XLN Audio accounts for this. I am able to update, download and manage very large downloads with no issues.

One of the plug-ins is the DBX 160 V14....to my knowledge other than porting it to evolving OSs, nothing is really different. I cant believe this plug in was 260 mb in 2002 when space and speed were nowhere near what they are now......separate bitch.
