Hey, you're the one who pushed back at me first. So if you can't handle the heat then don't start an argument, especially one you're incapable of winning.

However I absolutely hate it when developers "age" their plugin GUIs with scratches and worn paint etc. I've got hardware from the 80's that still looks like it just came out of the box so seeing something that looks like it has been so abused sets my OCD off in a big way.

I really like that feature; especially that you can age the UI in real time.
I just wish you could resize the UI below 75%. It takes up far too much screen real-estate for me.

Back on the subject of the plugin itself, I like it but don't really need it so will wait to see what other deals black friday brings. If it's still $19 after BF and I have any money left in the plugin budget I'll probably buy it since I'm an incorrigible collector.

Hard to beat for $20. I am using this on my November submission on the bass and the bass drum. I am sure I could have used plugins that I already have, but I wanted to try this one. For now, I really like it. Perhaps it's a gimmick but I love the fact that the knob labeled "condiiton" changes the appearance of the UI and the sound as well.

Brightening with the EQ sounds classy and not harsh at all. I don't know if it emulates Neve channels exactly, but I don't care much at this point. It just sounds great to me.

Material Comp is also criminally underrated, as far as I can tell.

Just snagged both and I find it almost hilarious how good the UX and sound is. Those saying that the 90s-kitsch-meets-modern-digital aesthetic isn't great will have to fight me

I also picked up Material Comp in addition to N Channel. Finding it a good drum buss shaper. Support mentioned the GUI will get an update in a future version.

Ok whatever. In my opinion ageing a plugin is utterly ridiculous. A least provide a 100% "new out of the box" option because that's what the gear would look like when used by professionals. I've never been in a studio that would allow their gear to be so abused.

Agree with Teksonik,gui must inspire users.
For example, his skin of Viper is the only one i use,cause is the only,which gives me some musical inspiration.
If you are gonna buy hardware looking like that,what would be the association about functionality and working condition?
Vintage look is interesting idea,but the scratches aren't inspirational to me.
Anyway i wonder how it sounds compared to PA AMEK 9099 console and gonna test them,side by side,if find it more usable will buy this one and gonna sell Amek,already have three PA and somehow only SSL 9000J gives me that hardware vibe.
Did somebody made such tests with another console emu?
