Vital: a name which has proven contradictory for this synth.
Serum: the cure for this mess.

So you don't think anyone who has given any money to any developer has a right to complain when that developer doesn't handle his business correctly?Jac459 wrote: Mon Nov 06, 2023 1:28 am I am actually a pro user...
But when I bought the pro, knowing the history of the synth, I took it as a donation.
Not an entitlement to complain...
Clearly this synth is built with open source in mind... 80 USD is a way to support. Nothing else.
But you think you have the right to complain incessantly here because you don't grasp the business-customer relationship or are just being blindly sycophantic ?
Talk about entitlement....
At any rate, I feel like I'm communicating with a brick wall. The only difference being is a brick wall at least serves some purpose. You have a nice day now and wipe that brown stuff off your nose.....

Would love to comment, but then certain people will get their panties in a bunch again, and, we don't want that, right?
Let's just say that: Yes, the purchase options shouldn't be seen as donation, as it has been made pretty clear that you actually buy certain features that the free version of the synth doesn't have. And, no, that doesn't entitle you to updates, or for the developer to frequently post in forums, and keep the users updated. I think the latter is something which is frequently misunderstood. You buy the software in the state it is. You don't buy future updates. The fact that software updates are very different in terms of their frequency and extent from developer to developer should tell you that.
What the users does with that is, thankfully, his own decision. When you see that the software isn't updated, or you're in any other way unhappy with the software, stop paying for it. That could mean stop a subscription, or don't buy any other (future) products from the developer.

What would you consider as " Prioritized support"?
Me? I would consider that response to requests for support at the very least and possibly expectation of fixing of reported bugs (once they can be reproduced of course).
I definitely don't feel like I have gotten either.
And for sure the Subscribe option that explicitly says, First access to new features, to me explicitly implies there will be new features.

Well, it could mean a lot of things, right? I would never buy into such a generalized "could mean everything" promise.
I wouldn't even assume bad intention. He probably was full of good intention, and then life happened.
My money is still on him thinking he could make good business with the synth, and then he realized that it's actually a sh** business. Just speculation, of course. It could be completely different. But, there's quite a bit of a pointer to that.

After I've demoed a plugin to my satisfaction and decided to buy it, for me that's where the commercial relationship ends. Free updates are welcome, but I wouldn't expect them in any other type of product I buy.Teksonik wrote: Mon Nov 06, 2023 5:28 pm So you don't think anyone who has given any money to any developer has a right to complain when that developer doesn't handle his business correctly?

...actually we are all pro users in here; or prosumers at least.
