I think everyone should have an acoustic instrument and a digital instrument, so that they can ditch one of them once in a while.

Which is nothing abnormal. But, let's better talk about things which don't belong to the HPC forum.Ploki wrote: Mon Nov 06, 2023 7:07 pmdude it's mid november and we have 20 degrees in central europeBBFG# wrote: Mon Nov 06, 2023 4:51 pm They'll never be boomers. obviously. you either are a boomer, or you're not, you don't become one as you age.
i may reach 99, but ill still be gen x.
but the ageism, from both ends is unnecessary.

It's not supposed to be 20 degrees here in november tho, it's supposed to be 10.chk071 wrote: Mon Nov 06, 2023 7:30 pm Well, we have 10° here, and, this is pretty much Central Europe. I don't know where it's supposed to be 20°...
people used to go skying in november, now they go to the seaside instead
this isn't necessarily HPC because i'm not here to argue anything really, just saying that there is some merit to "doomer" mentality. shit rn is weird

It's not supposed to be any fixed temperature at any time of the year.
But, again, where is it 20° today? Nowhere in Central Europe, that's for sure.

Another Gen X'er here. I've been playing "real" instruments since the 80's - recorded with a little 4-track in the 90's and started ITB early 2000's but only to record "real" instruments.
DAWs and virtual instruments are amazing. I worked a lot of manual labor to get medium quality stuff. I don't begrudge the musicians of today the amazing power of the tech.
Also, not even Neil Peart could hear 2ms of latency.

Germany is not Central Europe, Germany just thinks its Central Europe.chk071 wrote: Mon Nov 06, 2023 7:30 pm Well, we have 10° here, and, this is pretty much Central Europe. I don't know where it's supposed to be 20°...
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

although arguably this country isn't necessarily central europe by all maps it's still generally considered central europe
