Hey all!
PluginBoutique are offering the entire Universal Audio Signature Bundle for £299 instead of £8716. I mean WTF? I just brought it, have wanted these plugins for ages and couldn't turn this down Thought this wasn't legit to start but turns out it is.

First off, enjoy your new plugins. They vary in quality from pretty good (DBX160, Oxide, Plate, Roland stuff) to excellent (almost everything else).
But yesterday, UA was selling different bundles for almost the same price. They killed off those bundles, and replaced them with these new bundles with no upgrade path. Or certainly, no upgrade path that makes sense. They've been doing this for a while now. So don't be suprised if next year, or in a few months, there is a whole new bundle that includes all the plugins you already own and a few more, and now that bundle costs the same $299. And you've got no upgrade price. Your option then becomes: pay again for a bunch of plugins you already own, pay the bundle price to buy just one to three individual plugins when they're on sale, or miss out entirely. But suddenly the deal stops being so good. And you may even be annoyed.
They seem to be following an IK-multimedia style model of "get new customers in, don't worry about offering upgrades to existing customers". So if you're a new UA customer, jump on this bundle, it really looks terrific. If you've been around the block and have a lot of UA plugins already, you'll probably be annoyed.

In many ways I have considered them IK just with better quality stuff.
This further substantiates this imho.
I like their products I do not like the company. (UA customer since 2005)

They just start naming the plugins and bundles to match what they really are. Names like:
Venture Capitalism Bundle
Private Equity Edition
Bait and Switch Collection
Selling You Mostly The Same Sh*t Over Again Collection

Great pricing, this is Native and doesn't include the UAD-2 versions which work with the audio cards but that really isn't a factor for many of us. Fantastic deal.

Damn. I have a bunch of those, but it might make sense even so.

It's native + dsp. You can not buy native only actually.Scotty wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:27 pm Great pricing, this is Native and doesn't include the UAD-2 versions which work with the audio cards but that really isn't a factor for many of us. Fantastic deal.

Not according to Plugin Boutique. Look at the bottom where it says included versions.

That changed a while ago. A year or so ago that was true but they changed their policy.

Hmmm I think it is still they policy, that can change.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 4:16 pmThat changed a while ago. A year or so ago that was true but they changed their policy.
Unless it only applies if you buy directly from them.
For sure I bought native Lexicon 224 about two months ago and got the DSP version automatically.

that's exactly how I am right now, although I'm a UAD user only since last monthFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 1:33 pm First off, enjoy your new plugins. They vary in quality from pretty good (DBX160, Oxide, Plate, Roland stuff) to excellent (almost everything else).
