I am very sorry if it was answered earlier (then I missed it) but does anybody has an idea of the upgrade price of v2?

From price point yes...but personally my macbook is quite old and can't handle Avenger v1 CPU usage. So I hope v2 will be optimized. On the other hand I need to try Current also by myself, still waiting for proper demo.Jac459 wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 7:33 amThanks!

Current is absolutely great.... Just a bit expansive for one-off buyers.Stan Navi wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 7:37 amFrom price point yes...but personally my macbook is quite old and can't handle Avenger v1 CPU usage. Effects are awesome but my favourite are the oscillators, really nice. Like Vital in steroids.
I have an M2 pro, so no issue for running avenger

Just a gentle reminder that I've kept the OP updated on this thread, and most of the answers to most of the questions are in there. It's still AFAIK the only place on the net where all the info is on one place so, ya know, well done me.

Sorry guys for being utterly daft. My brain has still not entirely reconnected after the summer.
If one were completely new to Avenger with no prior version. When would be the best time to get onboard? Now? Or when v2 is released. Or is it about the same?

They've said there is a grace period of a month, so if a good deal appears now for Avenger 1 you could go for it. No RRP yet for Avenger 2.DrGonzo wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 11:59 am Sorry guys for being utterly daft. My brain has still not entirely reconnected after the summer.

This company has always overpriced things IMO, but still somehow I was surprised by the 99 euro upgrade fee. Zero chance I'm paying that much for what the new features are.
I'll just buy Current instead probably since if I'm gonna pay big bucks I might as well get an entire synth, instead of a few modules and "upgraded" onboard effects that I likely won't use.

It would be nice if the presets browser could be more of a 'choice' and that screen estate could be better used instead most of the time. I know it's a big part of the 'business model' but it's just a waste of space when using the synth.

on the other hand, dont forget if you buy avenger, you will get quite some updates in the future for your money. and in avenger, you have top notch presets, imho current is weaker in presets.briefcasemanx wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 9:57 pm This company has always overpriced things IMO, but still somehow I was surprised by the 99 euro upgrade fee.
