I've been concerned that there's no where for us to list our fav reverbs here on KVRAudio.
For some tasks i can use the inbuilt rev in my instruments. Then i have a few Vahalla DSP, PSP 2445 (and Pianoverb, Springbox), Reaktor, and some oter NI, Ubhik-A, some Shimmers, and some convolution types. Some that i like and may acquire either dirt cheapo on sale, or 2nd hand, the Exponential stuff, Aether (likely the last reverb i would need. I only occasionally obsess over Reverb (when i'm mixing live percussion lately).

The Valhalla reverbs (Vintage, Room or Shimmer) are very popular, especially as they are very cheap and require little CPU.

The Eventide reverbs are great, Blackhole as an effect for very large rooms with modulation and Ultrareverb.
For the Lexicon Touch the Relab stuff... the Essentials LX 480 was even available for free, otherwise for very little money (currently for about $30).

I think Blackhole is pretty popular no idea about UltraReverb. I think Eventide is pretty popular in general and delivers quality plugs.

Couldn't agree more

I own a lot reverbs. Eventide, Relab, UVI, UAD, Softube, SoundToys, Valhalla Dsp, IK Multimedia, Audiority, Wave Alchemy, Waves. Probably more than 20. A big fan.

UltraReverb is great. Powerful, deep, versatile, prestine, easy to use.
I would love to see more delays from H9/H90

Yes. Eventide is a pioneer in audio effect. Famous for harmoniser/pitch, delay and reverb.

My top 4
Ultraverb - an amazing multi algorythm reverb
Relab 480L - Great vintage vibe
LiquiSonics Seventh Heaven - instant preset for accoustics
Relab Sonsig Rev-A - super lush and sparkly reverb

Liquid Sonics/ReverbFoundry here ! (LS/RF)
now back again, Fabfilter pro-R, updated to pro-R2

i could do everything i like to do and need to do with these three:
LS - CinematicRoomsPro
RF - TaiChipro
FF - pro-R2

Aries Reverb would be an absolute fav of mine.
but it stopped in beta mode, and has no CC mapping working, nor preset reload. Nor ARM native on mac.

Never liked the here often mentioned "Raum"
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

If I refer to KVR favorites, the free OrilRiver is still one of the most popular reverbs, with 391 favorites and 295 wants (which is weird because you can get it in one click from the KVR page). That's even more than Valhalla Vintage Verb.

It's still my go to reverb, that I use everywhere.
It's more versatile than all the other free reverbs and it just sounds great, in fact better than the vast majority of paid reverbs. There are better sounding reverbs, that's for sure, but quite honestly, for my own uses, it's good enough that I've never felt the need for another one, and the better ones are too expensive for my non pro uses (except 7th Heaven).

Eventide Blackhole is on sale for $29 at PluginBoutique with coupon code PBNovBlackhole right now.

My stock template starting point is a plate from Waves Renn verb. It's fine for a lot of stuff and consumes almost no CPU. Then for more exciting stuff I use:

NI Raum. This has got a lot of use for airy dreamy sparkly.
Liquidsonics Seventh Heaven. Mostly for the scoring stage.
UAD RMX 16. For the 80s.
Eventide Blackhole. For a blackhole.
Eventide Spring. For a spring (also PSP's is good).
Waves IR/L. Low CPU for impulse responses.
Audio Ease Altiverb 7. For post stuff mainly. Pics in the browser is a simple trick, but it totally works.
NI RC48. Sounds nice for big halls and I like the blue trails.

Got a ton of others I mostly ignore, but sometimes I remember I have them.

Favourite trick - adding an octave up pitch shifter before a verb on a 2nd vocal chain as an additional level of magic.

2nd favourite trick - setting RennVerb to a tiny size and inserting before H-delay for diffuse echoes. Lovely.

Don't want any others, got too many. Though if the coming Altiverb 8 has 2 authorisations per license I'll get quite excited.

As expected when talking about the most subjective effect ever where every reverb on the planet eventually gets mentioned, I'll add to the insanity with my 3 favorite reverbs for electronic music:

Lexicon 224
PSP 2445 EMT
Valhalla Shimmer

All very different, but consistently useful over the years. For real spaces I prefer Liquidsonics Cinematic Rooms over convolution, but I think Valhalla Room also deserves special mention for being a really inexpensive option for true stereo "realistic" rooms and chambers. VVV is cool for the retro chorusy vibe it tries to recreate, but I think Valhalla Super Massive is also an underrated gem for its big, swooshy delay/reverb effects.

I always go back to my good old 112dB Redline Reverb... so much fullness and complexity in the sound... and for a ridiculously low cpu hit !
