Dunno, never paid for an upgrade to either of them. Arturia and NI have given out some holiday freebies over the years and can't recall ever having to pay to keep them up to date afterwards.

Arturia always gives out something free for Christmas. I'm hoping this year it's a Theremin.

It's a nice plugin, i think people will enjoy it, expecially if they don't still have the other paid alternatives from other companies

It is a free plugin but a month after the release they will release the big brother with a few more knobs. Only 29$ for a short while. Until the next time you can buy it again for 29$. Waves tactic is super obvious.

You are free to choose - plus, most obviously - just about every plugin vendor does the same (with the exception of Valhalla and maybe a handfull of others...)
