so, that's like 50% better but not 100% better.

I mean, you can collapse it and save the current view as a default already. (standalone remembers last state)LFO8 wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 4:40 am I bet you €5 you’ll have to re-hide it every time you open Kontakt![]()
Nah. They've said - it's a new preference to not have it show for people who don't want it. They got it.Jorchime wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 7:51 amI mean, you can collapse it and save the current view as a default already. But I worry their upcoming solution is not disabling it a 100% either. Maybe it will be something similar to having it collapsed all the time, but still occupying some space. Let's see.
Sure. In this case the difference in recognising either is obviously, because one thing is already there and the other not yet. So we can only wait and then talk about it.noiseboyuk wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 8:01 amNah. They've said - it's a new preference to not have it show for people who don't want it. Never ceases to amaze me how fast people are to jump up and down at bad news and how slow they are to recognise good news.
I would hardly say all this wasted development time and the way NI are prioritising things is ‘good news’, we can now manually turn off advertising we didn’t want in the first place. Wooo.noiseboyuk wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 8:01 amNah. They've said - it's a new preference to not have it show for people who don't want it. That's it right there. That's the attitude.SLiC wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 8:47 am I would hardly say all this wasted development time and the way NI are prioritising things is ‘good news’, we can now manually turn off advertising we didn’t want in the first place. Wooo.
While that's true in small companies, developers don't get to make the 'decisions' in the bigger ones, and often not even in the smaller. It becomes product owners, or the CTO. Even in a small company, it's often the business owner/founder who makes the decisions, not the developer.noiseboyuk wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 9:09 am Again, there's no developers left if you take insult at every wrong-headed decision. Every developer is a business, whose job it is to make money. Every single one. And most of them, at some point or another, will make what we consider to be a mistake. As in life, I like those who admit their mistakes and try to make amends.
I'm hoping for that some developer will sense the business opportunity and provide some alternatives. Nothing is more sobering than the prospect of a competitor waltzing in starting to eat up your profits.digitalboytn wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 9:45 am I hope that NI can get back on track and get their ship together because the truth is that they do make some great products![]()
I bought the FX suite for 24€ a few weeks ago and enjoy it very much.egbert101 wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:48 am I've been clean of NI products for about six months. How about you? It's okay, we're all helping each other with our addictions.
