They do not support it any longer.
What are alternatives for a simple 49 keys Midi keyboard?
I'm looking at the Swissonic one.
You only want keys, or also knobs/faders?
Only keys, keeping it simple.
Ok, see above then. :) It's cheap, and, I'm not crazy for M-Audio, but, might be enough. Otherwise, there are more expensive options.

I bought M-Audio Keystation 49 for I think $85 at Amazon.

Habe beide gerade verglichen bei Thomann, das Swissonic bringt für die 10 Tacken mehr noch ein bisschen was auf die Kette. Aber danke! :tu:

Native Access has both advertising and data tracking by default, but you can turn off the tracking but licences are not something I have never had an issue with with NI.
true. a logic board was replaced on a laptop when i brought in for a warranty graphics card repair... this made the ID different so all my iLok licenses that were auth'd to the computer went bye bye.

had to reach out to all the devs to do something. i forget the process. it was a cancel and replace type scenario. took about a day i think. but all my licenses showed up in my iLok account. so i was able to select them all and auth them all in a few mouse clicks. so, in that regard was pretty fast. didn't have to enter a serial number. but on the flip side i didn't have to do anything w/most of my other software which was auth'd to the HD or whatever so kept working.. or just needed a quick refresh/re-auth.

seems like the devs who use iLok are acquainted with what happens in all the various scenarios and can act quickly. iLok in general seems generally problem free compared to 10 or 15 years ago when it seemed weird shit would happen and anyone using an iLok had problems for a day or a week or whatever until iLok got their shit sorted. drama!

at some point i hope all the copy protection stuff becomes unnecessary

Surely irrational, but I lost my impetus to be a loyal NI customer. It all started with Reaktor ten years ago. But they lost track imo completely. Nothing fancy anymore. SAD!

Native Instruments: what have you become?

Might as well ask what the target audience has become. :? I think that is the real issue.

Without all the beat makers, one click sample shooters, and party DJ's, they surely would develop and sell other products.

And, in regards of the quality of the software: It's becoming more and more of an issue, everywhere. Quality assurance is close to non existant these days. From their perspective, it even makes sense. A target audience which is in for the new and shiny makes for a fast paced, short-lived market, where stuff doesn't have to work long, it just has to be new and shiny, until the next new and shiny comes out.

Anyway, you know why this is such a small issue? Because everyone can buy whatever he wants.

Just thought I'd add this completely obvious thing, before the next person does a page long rant about NI and their products, and appears as if his life depended on owning all of their shitty products.

No, you're missing the point. Everyone here basically wants NI to not suck. We want Reaktor to be not fuzzy. We want full Apple Silicon support. We want all of the things they've made that were amazing to continue to be amazing and not disappear. We don't want to have our support emails and feature requests ignored, because we want to have their software not be buggy.

I absolutely can buy from other developers, and I do, but what I want is an updated Kontakt. What I want is an updated Reaktor. What I want is an updated Razor and Monark and Molekular.

And we're angry because we love and want these things and we know we're never going to see them.

I think you're exaggerating.

Reaktor is still one of the best software modulars, Kontakt is still one of the best samplers, and their effects (Replika, Dirt, Raum etc.) are my go-to before anything else. If anything, this is a discussion where we can complain on the highest level.

Careless Memories wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 8:30 pm It's funny, but I loved the sound of the deprecated "NY Grand" piano instrument. It just worked so well in Pop tunes for me. It wasn't overly bright but it had a nice tone and didn't completely dominate a track like "bigger sounding" grands sometimes can.

I guess there was some hacky way to get these few deprecated pianos back on the Mac. But I'm not sure if that's possible on newer Apple Silicon Macs and with the latest version of Native Access.
If you mean New York Concert Grand from Classic Piano Collection https://drive.google.com/open?id=104C-3 ... -Rag00K15s
Start Native Access 2 and go to Preferences > Legacy Products and enable the toggle to show discontinued products.

Restart Native Access and go to Library > Available > Kontakt and scroll to one of the Classic Piano library listings.

Awesome! That sounds easy enough. Thank you so much for your help!

They have great products, but the User eXperience is really behind the times and starting to suck.
It's absolutely possible to turn it around, but they have to care about the users, and not just churn out more 'packs'.

Think how great Reaktor could be with a newer modern UI, or Kontakt if they just took the time to ship higher-resolution imagery for their own product (why is their own toolbar so low res even in the new browser in Kontakt 7 ? That should be a simple fix)
