Help with my new Sage compressor

Got this Sage compressor with adjustable filters on Ebay ....

....had high hopes as the seller said this was the same model used on countless hit records, but I can't seem to get any signal in or out of it. Runs real hot though. I've opened it from the top but am unsure what I'm looking at. Any ideas?

Sure you can get a signal in, but if nothing ever gets out, then it might be broken. How/what do you have connected to it?

With the top open you might be able to locate what gets hot.

But have you contacted the seller? Seems as if you bought a lemon.

PS: don't tell the seller you opened it. That usually voids any and all warranty.

No wonder you cannot get a signal in and no signal comes out.
Perhaps espresso coffee if you use it right.
Used on many hit records? Can't prove that....
