HI
That counts me out I am in a london borough (Havering) but come under Essex!
Why does a US citizen bump a thread that is aimed at Londoners?

He's my mate, a bit older than me and I guess has paternal instincts.
Essex will do. I'm east london anyway.

HI
So what are you trying to do, can you give a bit of detail?
Sun is out down here, but it's bloody freezing!

I remember ages back someone created a forum for London music producers but no one took an interest. Seems like there'd be all kinds of reasons to have a regional forum where people could arrange events etc., but my personal interest right now is in the possibility of getting some decent duplication equipment. I would've thought that if a few people, rather than spend money getting cds duplicated, chipped in and bought some duplication equipment, this could work out cheaper quite quickly for all involved. Haven't done the maths yet, just seeing what response I'd get to the idea.

HI
First off, isn't a comrade here currently talking about short run duplication - I think I saw something in the market place forum, I like the sound of the idea of a co-operative for localised pooling of resources, for instance - producing websites for members, co-ooperation in relation to music production, distribution ect.
Do the maths on the duplication - I would personally be interested in how I can further promote and market my material and possibly interact with local musicians/producers/singers.

Cool, I'll look into it some more over the next couple of days.

Not so expensive. I wonder if the print quality is consistent.

'Spensive aint they. The duplicator I've got was originally £3K new.

They are indeed expensive, and that's not including inlay printing. But for a run of about 250 CDs it would probably cost close to £500 anyway, so it's definately something worth looking into.

Hmmm, I'm not sure it would be quite as much as that, but it'd still be a sizeable chunk of change, eg you could get it done for £300-£400 with printing.
