I left a lot of words out. But I left most of your lame words in. Look again.Sicklecell666 wrote:You left my words out, you flacid bedpan..

This whole thread kind of reminds me of a bit from a Monty Python album. Eric Idle starts out, "Are you embarrassed easily? I am. But it's nothing to worry about. It's all part of growing up and being British." Here's the whole sketch:

How could we pass up "tits, winkle, grunties, and Wankle rotary engine".
The "Australian Table Wines" sketch from the same site is pretty hilarious too.

There you go..have another one..
Astute
An employer I had a while back told me that once..I almost threw a rod & put him in the hospital, so "Astute" is definately a Lame-Ass word..
Even if it does manage to describe me quite well..

ooh, some goods ones up the thread, esp. toiletries and roughage
flan had me puzzled because I remember typing "flan -- are we supposed to eat that?" but maybe I canceled the post ... clueless had already entered it anyway
but "chai" meaning overpriced tea polluted with spices -- and when people actually say "chai" out loud
:froth:
gaaa!!! and here I have typed it twice -- I need to go have some real tea with milk and sugar and lie down for a while

Nothing wrong with those words. The companies that offer it are a whole other story.Mighty_Hero wrote:wireless cable

I don't get that. Maybe I missed that Carlin bit. The one about the list of words you can't say on television though is pretty good.Studiodad wrote:Wireless cable, jumbo shrimp. Sounds like George Carlin material!

JUMBO shrimp.
I also liked SCTV's parody of Carlin. "You know what's strange? There's red wine and white wine. But no green wine. There's green grapes....but no green wine......wierd!"
SCTV was underrated IMHO.

Hey all,
I think "wad" is a lame word.
But then you get the combi's like "flem-wad," "dim-wad," "d*ck-wad," "tight-wad" etc and it just becomes even more tragic as a word.
Actually what about "grouse?" Now there's a word I am happy to leave back in the 80s!
