it's a feature that needs a fix, but should be useful once the 'double-note' issue is resolved...m-ac wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:25 pmFrom what I've read, logic now having midi out from plugs is just part of the bug so don't get too excited!dirtboy wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 8:42 am Looking forward to this release. I will be using this in Logic. I am assuming the arp/sequencer can output midi to my modular synths? If so, Logic was recently updated to allow midi out from plugins which should do the trick. Unfortunately, there is currently a bug where input notes double up because of this functionality. NI are aware and working on this, hopefully the devs are aware of this as well?

"More features being added. Manuel has said slated for Avenger 2.1 is a new piano roll feature." lol. Prepare to wait 1 at least one more year for this.... Last update was almost nothing , so this plugin is like more than 2 years without an update now. And he is wanting to charge us, legit users, 100 euros for this update... Thanks, mister, but you got me once, you wont got me twice.

you're judging it before you've seen it? 'dune 2' sucks, too....Oly_Spart wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 8:10 pm "More features being added. Manuel announced a special price for black friday! C'mon be fair, Zebra upgrade was announced about 10 years ago lol
And how long does omnisphere v2 exist?
V3 maybe in 2050?!
What about Vsti by AIR, some are really good, but can't even remember the last update of Vacuum Pro, Strike or Xpand! or at least addition of new presets or sounds.
Not even the highly praised Fabfilter ProQ gets some approvements or additions in order to match today's standards (I know it's no instrument, but plugin).
How many plugins were released without any striking improvements or additional new features afterwards?!

To be fair. We have gotten a lot of new features to Omnisphere 2 during its cycle. That is the way of spectrasonics, some other companies would have released it as omnisphere 5 by now.

I might be wrong but I suppose Vengeance is not a as big company as NI, omnisphere or Arturia. Maybe only 4-5 people are involved in V2 of Avenger, I don't know.
So only a pretty small crew/staff created such a great softsynth - kudos!

Avenger also had some updates which other companies sell as full versions....
my only gripe so far is it is such a resource eater. and that you dont get the wav samples from the XPs etc.

We only really know of two - Manuel here looks after the sound design while Rene does the coding. Of course they use other sound designers too and they must have people to help with admin, website etc, but this is definitely not the same size as those others.DCrown wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 8:42 pm I might be wrong but I suppose Vengeance is not a as big company as NI, omnisphere or Arturia. What are your inspirations? I mean, do you get inspiration from hardware or rather softsynths of other devs or is new technology the inspiration ?msvs wrote: Fri Nov 17, 2023 8:01 am yes that is correct that way

What was your first hardware synth and daw?
What's your favorite hardware synth and what's your favorite softsynth (a synth you are not involved in)?
Does an artist/band also inspire you, maybe Jean Michel Jarre or Kraftwerk or... ?
What's your opinion on AI for music production ?
Would it make sense for you to add AI or physical modeling to Avenger one day or is it something you are not interested in?
Do you think in 10 years you still will be developing updates/upgrades for Avenger?
And why the names vengeance and avenger?
One can feel watching you on YouTube
that you have created your dreamsynth
and I (I think everyone else) am just curious to know where you and your partner get your inspiration from.

What's your favorite candy?
What's your go-to dance move?
Do you ever sing when you're alone? What songs?
In your group of friends, what role do you play?
What's the best thing you got from one of your parents?
Favorite city?
What incredibly strong opinion do you have that is completely unimportant in the grand scheme of things?
What's the story behind one of your scars?
What's your favorite book?
Who is one of your best friends, and what do you love about them?
What fictional place would you most like to go to?
Mountains or ocean?
Pancakes or waffles?
What's your favorite piece of clothing you own?
What should I have for lunch?

Maybe dev wants to remain mysterious, there's no information about him, I remember only one video together with that clown, somewhere in a studio of a German producer with lots of hardware synths, I am not even sure it's in Germany, it rather looked like in Arnolec !?
I don't think he has the time to answer so many questions.
Do you really think the developer of the by far best instrument plugin ever will reply to your question "Would you rather be stuck on a broken ski lift or a broken elevator?".
C'mon, you can do better, can't you? or do you write for "The Sun"?
