It is ".flp" format... p= project ...
and it´s absolutely not working for me as when I am working in FLS I 90% use just FLS native FX plugins and they get just empty when loading a project in Bitwig...
As I think many FLS, Ableton and Bitwig users are using many native devices I find it absolutely nonsense and just a marketing gag with these "file" reading of other DAWs other than if you would just restrict yourself with 3rd party plugins but this doesn´t make much sense in any of these DAWs...
This is what i.e. makes the difference between the 2 of us... I call you a nerd (no offense) as you like to fiddle around the most (for me) chaotic way with modular here and rocket science software like RapidComposer there...Can the workflow be separated into two parts, composition, and sound design, In my opinion, the composing part in FLS is still better than its ALS counterpart, and the sound design in BWS is much more satisfying with the .clap format, Dune, and Hive make it very likable (per note modulation).
I am a very simple guy and I have no interest in making my life complcated...
Second, if there is one thing which makes life harder for me in FLS it´s Patterns and the Arranger... so no, for me Live does better in nearly every aspect...
Third, the only thing I would use CLAP for is to give the middle finger at Steinberg... I am not interested at all in using stuff more modulated as MPE is already offering... and tbh most of the time polyphonic modulation is hard to identify against just automation...
For me MPE finds it way into my work in perhaps 1-2% of all of my modulation/automation needs apart from what is already possible in instruments anyway with the conventinal methods which seem to be mostly forgotten nowadays... everything has to come from outside... why if I can do all of that completely in the plugin...
I think not... nothing I would care about the slightest bit...as far as I know, there is no ALS equivalent for the shared and independently running per-note modulation on XY devices and within their own containers [think]
Of course I do have a keyboard and my skills are enough to experiment a bit for trying out sounds when I go through presets...ps. "Bounce in place... I never use..." MIDI materials also can be dropped into samplers which is also "bounce in place", and please buy a f*king MIDI keyboard, Ottaviani only uses the white keys on it in A minor, tickling the ivories, and transposes from there, yet he manages well with it
But I cannot record anything in respectively to solve the chaos I would create when trying to live record would need more work than just "mousing" it in...
Again... none of the mentioned parts are meant negative or offensive... we are just different...
Nerd vs. normalo...
