There are delays that sound better to me than Echoboy in isolation, BUT, Echoboy always melts better than those in a mix.

Lol, I had the same experience, really like Valhalla delay but Echoboy is amazing. Sometimes an extra clean delay sounds better though.

Sad me, i got echoboy after years i tried it and cant demo them any more, suddengly its cr@ppy, now way to conteol the volume of the repeates, no input output gain, no ducking possibilities in 2023 even small developers added features like these including tracing yiur gear., soundtoys is over priced and outbeaten by UAD, Slate, Kush and Plugin Alliance, some waves as well.

Their decapatator is based on Vulture culture, overlouds take on vulture culture as well as uad apollo version blows it away, then plugin alliance blackbox ms, audiority and who knows how many more out there, i used to think soundtoys tremolator was the best, it has a nice analog sound but you have goodhertz trem control, best there is feature wise, if sound toys added these features then maybe its worth it… https://goodhertz.com/trem-ctrl/

Once you've used Soundtoys for a while, you'll know why almost everyone swears by them. There is only one thing that is really bad: no scalable GUI.
Expensive, not really. The EMT 140 Plate (Little Plate) is currently available for free. Most plugins are often on offer. The complete Echopack was once available for around 80€...

Echoboy is hype really., logic’s built in delay alone can do exactly the same thing and you can add some plug for coloring like a la2, vulture culture diode or even a tape saturation type plug like dirty tape by softube etc

I have a couple SoundToys plugins that I picked up for free. They’re alright, but nothing I didn’t already have 5 other plugins to do the same.

The one SoundToys plugin I find interesting is Primal Tap. It’s a model of the Lexicon Prime Time.
