OldSkookVerb is an algorithmic reverb and has nothing to do with a physical (electromechanical) plate reverb. epicPLATE is an algorithmic approximation of the physical plate sound, but not a very good one. Like all soundtoys stuff, clicks and pops like crazy even though nothing else non-acustica does. Glad I didn't waste any money learning that, though.
edit: I take it back, it's only the vst2 versions that crackle and pop, the vst3 versions work just fine. Odd, and makes you wonder why they bother even shipping vst2 still.
