I have an Access Virus Ti2 Keyboard and the editor from Aura Plugins (excellent by the way).

I have a Studiolive 3 SX and it doesn't have a midi connection.

I bought a cable from ESI Midimate EX and it doesn't work.

The Ti2 Virus is not recognized in the editor.

Everything is well updated in Windows 11 for USB devices and latest OS update is done.

Do you have an idea of a very midi interface (certainly usb for power) that will be functional?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I have my Virus Polar TI2 connected with an iConnectivity MIO and it works perfectly with the Aura editor (mostly in Logic). On my Mac, the Mio was just plug-n-play. I’ve also used my MOTU MIDI Express XT interface with my Polar and it worked fine, too.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I have a Blofeld desktop and I only have one midi in socket and I order it with a mk3 keystation and I also use an AURA PLUGINS editor but in USB, so I will only have one midi cable to connect to the iconnectivity MIO .

Would it work with this interface?

Why do you need a midi interface when you can just use USB? My virus & AURA editor work fine.

Thank you for your reply.

Concerning USB, it works very well with the Blofeld desktop.

On the other hand, it does not work with the Virus.

Why I'm passing through midday.

Are there any drivers for Windows 11

Is the Motu Micro Lite reliable, stable, are the drivers of good quality (interface dropout)?

I would also guess the problem is the Midi Interface. The editor is a bit fiddly to set up at first. But once it's all connected it works really well.

Thank you for your answer.

I took a Miditech midiface 2x2 and the editor is recognized.

However, it is not possible to change the banks and programs in the Virus Ti2.

But, in the editor the programs change and load.

I tried the Virus control editor.

The problem is crackling on certain sounds (only when releasing the keyboard note).

Certainly linked to the USB connection.

Tried different USB ports and still this cracking, parasitic noise.

Are you using USB for audio? What happens if you use the analog 1/4-inch outputs into your interface?

Thank you for your reply.

With the original Virus TI2 editor, usb for audio.

No worries with analog connections.

Problem only with the virus control editor ( usb ).

Personally I would use analog audio. I remember me just having endless problems with audio over USB, or anything USB+Virus. When connecting audio and MIDI all works fine.

I wonder why Access lost all interest in developing the Virus. Can guitar amps really be that much more fun or profitable? A bit OT, sorry about that.

Solved the problem.

It is true not a traditional solution, radical solution even, but the most important thing now it works perfectly.

I used a MiniFuse 2 interface and the midi from it and perfect now.

It's a shame that Access didn't continue to develop the firmware, because the Virus Ti2 is quite a machine.

Access got so far with the Virus that a Virus 3 was very unlikely.

Now that Access is with Kemper, it is clear that nothing will ever come out again.
