Aliasing can be fantastic. I even have a great love for really bad mp3 compression these days. That sound is like instant ambient to me. Like you are swimming underwater in a digital river. Very cool.

Also Audiotent could be a good inspiration, they often sell soundsets with midi for a real insane price, but I think they are successful in techno and melodic techno
Thanks for saying that. I means a lot coming from someone who uses the sounds. Earcatchers haha :) Yeah. I know what you mean. You listen to a new synth and the ten-fifteen first sounds are just meant to blow your socks off. They are kind of useless but I find them very inspirational and give a hint of the potential.

Thanks for recommending Audiotent! I'll definitely check them out. And they are having 30% off at the moment so it's a good time to try.

You are way too kind. Maybe I should set that bank free. Yeah... I should. Feels timely.
That would be nice, then I could supply the NKS as well :)
I'm so badly organised at the moment. Working on ten things at the same time and I feel I'm going absolutely nowhere with anything. Let's make this happen. If you can supply the NKS I'll put together a little zip and put it up as a freebie for everybody. It's better than just letting the sounds collect dust in the forgotten corner of the hard drive.

Thankyou - done :)

I owned Largo 1 but had stability issues and had the odd frustrating crash in Logic (PPG wave was similar too). Sounded excellent with good fx, but I was always nervous when using some parameters, manually typing in settings. I'll keep my eye on V.2 and see how it gets reviewed.

It will be especially interesting what Waldorf do with it. It's been 20 days now, with no update which fixes the existing bugs. As far as I can see, Streichfett never made it further than version 1.0. I'm a bit concerned, especially seeing what a sloppy job Waldorf did with the GUI, and with some of the parameters, which don't even behave correctly when you input values by keyboard.

Yeah. It’s a nice synth but needs more time in the oven to fix bugs.

UI wise they should just get rid of all the gradient and drop shadow stuff. It makes it look dirty and dated.

The upgrade is now on sale for 24 euros. I'm not sure if I want to make the switch given all these complaints. Then again, maybe Waldorf will put out some updates to address these issues?

I certainly hope so. And be it just for showing that they care.

Well, I'll keep it positive: Maybe they save up their energy for a big update. ;)

Streichfett has been updated, it's currently at 1.14.

Never assume Waldorf is ever going to fix anything.

I had picked up Largo on sale a couple of years ago. I spent a weekend trying to use it, but never really got anything useful out of it. Like a moth being drawn to flame.. I am curious about the 2.0 upgrade now. The upgrade code is blackweeks2023 for the curious. That brings the 2.0 price to $23.99. Still on the fence about it, as the first version never really stuck. For $24 though...

Weird. When you order the trial, you can only download version 1.0.

At this point, it’s sort of like a “vintage plugin,” even with the new facelift. If you’re going to compare it to modern wavetable synths, you might not like the more lo-fi sound, but I personally have always liked it. That said, I don’t really feel like giving them a dime for this update. Other companies give updates like this away for free to paying customers. Most other developers would consider this a .5 update at best.
