DAWESOME - Love
Free with any purchase on plugin boutique. Does so so much. The value is off the charts here. Get this plugin. (Really could use a grain volume envelope feature though).
Things - Texture
https://www.audiothing.net/effects/things-texture/
- Cheap, but very basic and not much control. Cool mid/side mode to only granularize the side signals.
Audiority - GrainSpace
https://www.audiority.com/shop/grainspace/
- Cheap, and lots of control for all sorts of different things.
Unfiltered Audio - SILO
https://www.unfilteredaudio.com/products/silo
- Advanced, a great amount of control, but really expensive. The inferface is a little outdated. Edit: With some effort, this can be found at 29$ on sale. Good value.
Soundghost - Scatter
https://soundghost.net/product/scatter/
- Expensive, nice interface, but not much control, not even a way to detune the grains. Not worth the asking price of $50 IMO.
Arturia - efx fragments
https://www.arturia.com/products/softwa ... s/overview
- Very expensive at $99, but very powerful and lots of control, with a nice interface. Doesn't seem to go on sale like other arturia products.
Kentaro Particle-Reverb
https://szk-1992.gumroad.com/l/CGOaP
$60, a little expensive, but powerful. GUI isn't the most intuitive, but offers good control once acquainted. Could offer more control for the money.
Output - Portal
https://output.com/products/portal
A little expensive, $70 even on sale, but very very powerful. Beautiful interface.
Sinevibes Albedo
https://www.sinevibes.com/albedo/
Simple, powerful, everything you'd expect. At $40 a little expensive, lacking some nice-to-haves. If you like scatter, this is a slightly cheaper and slightly better plugin.
Any others I've missed?

Seems like it, though it seems like a lot more than a granulizer. $60 with 65% off for black friday, making it about $20, not bad.cb8rwh wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:53 pm Would something like Dawesome LOVE count?

I am not satisfied with any options at the moment. I find Arturia Fragments the best for use on drums or sequences, but when it comes to ambient stuff, I prefer Sinevibes plugins. Since I'm going the hardware route, I'm now looking for hardware solutions but there doesn't seem to be anything at the moment which catches my interest.

I did actually, it was like the top of the list. I think it's pretty close to what I'm after so will look more into it.El°HYM wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 5:48 pm Did you also check out Microcosm yet?

Out of interest, has anyone used "baked in" granular effects in their samples? It would mean removing much of the randomness, but I wonder if it works well. I've seen the technique done in some videos.
