Thomann deal becomes the same deal as on Presonus own store. The Noodlist wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 9:18 am Thomann's Presonus cyber week deals

- I checked for me in SEK anyway, spot on
- seems more smooth to shop at Presonus straight up
Europe is usually USD plus 20% VAT as well.

If you're outside the EU Best Service or Meershop (depending on the product - in this case it's Best Service) are usually best...

I'm still on 5, trying to decide if it's worth spending the £80 to upgrade to 6 now, or just wait until 7 comes out and upgrade then, I'm thinking it's more economical to wait for 7 and I'm not really missing any features of 6 apart from it fixing midi importing issues where if a midi is over a certain size it opens as a new project, but as annoying as it is, I don't often import midi and that £80 could be spent on more fun things for BF like I could get 12KG of Haribo Jelly Beans for that

Same situation here... I also may wait till v7Digivolt wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 12:18 pm I'm still on 5, trying to decide if it's worth spending the £80 to upgrade to 6...
Only, can I be nosey and ask where you saw the £80 update price please.?
Best I've seen so far is 99 euro inc VAT for UK shipments (= £87) from Best Service. Plus, they are throwing in a free gift from a curated list (I would probably choose the Vintage Legends reverbs, that normally costs 99 euro).
TIA
PS:- there is nothing in v6 feature wise I actually 'need'; it'll only be for keeping current, getting bug fixes etc..

I'll wait what version 7 will bring to the table, and, if there's nothing for me in there, I'll skip that as well.Digivolt wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 12:18 pm I'm still on 5, trying to decide if it's worth spending the £80 to upgrade to 6 now, or just wait until 7 comes out and upgrade then, I'm thinking it's more economical to wait for 7 and I'm not really missing any features of 6 apart from it fixing midi importing issues where if a midi is over a certain size it opens as a new project, but as annoying as it is, I don't often import midi and that £80 could be spent on more fun things for BF like I could get 12KG of Haribo Jelly Beans for that![]()
Could even become counterproductive to update, when new versions, and new features raise the system requirements.

Agreed on my small trawl of possibilities too... The Best Service one was cool, with the freebie thrown in to add value...chk071 wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 7:01 pm All the online shops I've been to roughly have the same upgrade price as Presonus themselves. I.e. around 90 to 100 €.

Do you happen to have a link to a file that doesn't import properly? I might know a fix but I want to test it before I suggest it.Digivolt wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 12:18 pm I'm still on 5, trying to decide if it's worth spending the £80 to upgrade to 6 now, or just wait until 7 comes out and upgrade then, I'm thinking it's more economical to wait for 7 and I'm not really missing any features of 6 apart from it fixing midi importing issues where if a midi is over a certain size it opens as a new project

I think I'll stick to 4.6 Pro for now, 7.0 will have better value for new features along with a full cycle of updates until version 8.0 arrives. 6.5 is nice but nothing really excites me. New instruments would be nice to see in 7.0.

Studio One 4 is a great DAW. Really begs the question of what actually needs to be done to improve it?THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 8:47 pm I think I'll stick to 4.6 Pro for now, 7.0 will have better value for new features along with a full cycle of updates until version 8.0 arrives. 6.5 is nice but nothing really excites me.
