Avenger is good... but not that good...
Synthmaster 3 is a complete overhaul with tons over tons of new features and has a discounted upgrade price of 29,-€ (without discount 49,-€!)

I wanted to buy an upgrade... not a new synth!

I've been critical at times, but Vengeance added a full synth worth of feature updates for free between version 1 and 2. If Avenger 2 is similarly supported, it's a reasonable upgrade price.

Agreed, great price for new purchases, awful price for upgraders, I think 119€ is the highest upgrade cost on a synth I have ever seen, may even be the highest price with the BF discount.

Just decided to check the website to see about the update...

So far I'm not to optimistic, if they can't program html, css & javascript and some easy backend language correctly, I dread to think how the synth's programming is. But then again, I've met some crazy developers who are messy as F*** have no sense of orgaisation, clean coding etc and create some great looking, efficient stuff, just don't ask anyone else to try and make sense of it...

First, no email about upgrade... So to the website I go....

1. Just some green text at bottom left: go to your account for upgrades
2. Login

3. News feed (not there, hip hop 3 lol), I would have thought it would be at the top, nope... That would be too easy.

@vps is the news feed some muppet entering html or coming from a database, either way put the latest newest entries at the top (for SQL google or GPT: What do SQL ASC and DESC commands do)

4. Customer support page - Internal Server Error 500
@vps Oh them error logs on the server might come in handy now...

5. Account Details page - it's not there, but at least the page works

6. VPS Avenger button (last but 1) - Internal Server Error 500
@vps Again see server error logs, come on it's not like a c++ backend, I hope not, omg, if....

haha yes, too many requests for 1&1 (the hoster). You need to have a bit more patience as it seems

Hosting issues, ah, oh yes I've been there, many a time... It's still error 500 for me. I will check back on the website after work.

Would you mind if I ask who your hosting with?
Old school classic shared? VPS? Cloud Server?

However with an Internal Server 500 error I've only ever received via a server/backend configuration issue or the more likely programming issue.

The server's still up as it's serving the customized default error html pages.

Servers under load will typically:

Slow Server Response: You will get stuck into the server's que for as much ram it's got, if you overload this it can result in random responses even taking the web server down or "Connection Refused" error.

503 Service Unavailable: 503 Service Unavailable this is the one I would expect for an overloaded server / service / api end point etc

Timeout Errors: This and the 503 is what I would expect from an overloaded server. If the server is extremely overloaded, it might refuse connections altogether, resulting in a "Connection Refused" error for incoming requests.

Resource Exhaustion: And this is the big one, where the server goes down. This could manifest in various errors or warnings in the server logs.


But I would definitely check the error logs for a 500 response.

its just the database, which seems to cant handle that many requests at once. But as said, many people already ordered successfully. You need either patience or a bit of luck as it seems atm. Hope that resolves soon.
