VST3 plugin migtation means that you can specify your VST3 plugin to replace an older version of VST2 or VST3 plugin if it's not installed. Essentially replacing the old versions in all your projects. This is doable if the preset file format didn't drastically change, which is pretty much the case with Largo 2. They could've done this.

Allow me the offtopic, but I guess you're the right person to ask... Do you know if Native Instruments have finally implemented this feature for Guitar Rig 7? Because Kontakt 7 and Reaktor 6.5 have it and works perfectly, but not Guitar Rig 6, and I haven't updated to Guitar Rig 7 yet, hence the question.

Post

I am not sure it's been implemented for GR7, to be honest.

Post

I don't always stay up to date with Komplete, but it's news to me that Reaktor is vst3 now.
I've got 6.4.3 and it shows in the VSTPlugins 64 bit folder.
Were there any other changes in Reaktor?

Post

You can read the changelog in Native Access...

Post

Largo update coming very soon. 1-2 days max.

Post

Good - I hope it includes making the GUI resize a thing you can set as default, it's annoying to have to reset it every time I open it

Post

Oh god, they didn't even do that?! >_>

Wonder if it's at least streamed in the patch. In that case you could force it with "default preset" functionality that some DAWs have.

Just looked - no 6.5 and no vst3. I guess I'm still on the latest Reaktor - 6.4.3.

Post

6.5 is latest. Might only show in Native Access 2, or your OS version is not supported.

Instead of just using the same plugin ID (which would have swapped out the new version for the old across all projects), they pulled a Native Instruments and gave it a new name altogether. I remember having multiple versions of Absynth installed because instead of simply updating the plugins info, they made an entirely new one with it.

As I said...Waldorf... :)

It certainly doesn't save with NKS patches

Also whenever you change a bank in their browser it resets the GUI to 100%

Yeah, how that particular bug wasn't picked up in testing is beyond me :dog:
