For anyone still struggling, click on Avenger Account at the top of the main webpage, login, keep trying until you don't get a 500 error. When you get lucky...
woodsdenis wrote: Fri Nov 24, 2023 6:44 pm Got into account, no sign of any upgrade info at all ???
It's not obvious at all imo - you need to click your Avenger 1 code on the left hand side. Get ready for more errors.

Or come back next week, the sane option...

You have to click on the "VPS Avenger" button (the one displaying your license key)
and you should see "Avenger 2 upgrade needs to be purchased" message and a "Purchase Upgrade" button

How long is the 33% BF discount available?
There is no date mentioned

It was enough to give users upgrade for free. What do those who bought Avenger 1 a few weeks ago say? Will they be happy? Do you think?
I can of get what you're saying if Avenger would be a player only. Company "live from its content". They sell new contents and update the free player. But Avenger is not a player only but a complete full synth that let you create any sound you want. You don't have to purchase new sound banks/expansions. VPS can't give away for free their synth.

Only solution would be to create a Avenger "Player" version like Camel Audio did with Alchemy/Alchemy Player or Synthmaster (not sure?).

Also, people that got Avenger a week ago (I think it's a month) receive v2 for free.

Got Avenger 2 activated and up! Only thing I'm having trouble with now is downloading the Factory 2 library. Most likely the servers are overloaded and can't grab the data.

Not for me either - Avenger 1 is an excellent Synth but not enough new for me to justify upgrade price

I paid £87 for Avenger (from Pluginboutique) - upgrade is £73 from same place

If the effects (which sound superb) were usable outside of Avenger it would be worth it to me - upgrade is about 84% of original full purchase price of v1

The full version current discounted price is very good value though

I don't think that will ever happen. Q4antum for one wouldn't make sense outside Avenger, or it would be quite crippled - some of the best functions are deeply embedded in the synth itself.

Finally got his installed, but the factory content won't install via drag and drop, or the open file.

Any ideas?

Pretty disappointed with the install and license manager.

Sorry, the update is not worth it for me either.

The new features are nice and I'm sure many people will be happy. Unfortunately, these don't address the major problems I have with Avenger: GUI and optimization.

I own v1 and I would have paid v2 full price easily to get Avenger's DSP and features with a new GUI more similar to Nexus.

Not sure what to do with my v1 license at this point since. I won't be investing time into it and people interested in Avenger will probably be looking at v2.

Anyway, good luck Manuel and team.

I gave up with the manual install. Vman worked for me on the severalth attempt, and then all was well.

Due to all the traffic, I waited until just now to upgrade. It's before 2pm here in the US. Upgraded on the Vengeance site. Was pretty simple, although I did have to hit refresh a few times to get in. Transaction went through pretty quickly, with my upgrade serial delivered and presented on-screen immediately. Registered the new upgrade serial in my account. Had to hit refresh a few times before it went through. Manually downloaded the Factory 2 expansion. Opened up Avenger 2, activated it by pasting my system ID in the "offline Activation" section on the website. Took a few tries to get that to go through, but it eventually did. Keyfile generated quickly. Didn't realize I had to re-download the Factory 1 expansion again. I don't know if that was just me or what, but there were several Factory 2 presets that had missing samples which referenced the Factory 1 exp. Downloaded the Factory expansion and imported - missing samples fixed. Not using the V-Manager for any of this, although I did try it, got some weird code, just kept trying and hitting "refresh" until the screen populated. Eventually worked.

I'd say this entire process took around 15 minutes. Avenger 2 is up and running.

I just copied it to where the prior content file was located. On Windows it was this by default:

C:\ProgramData\Vengeance\VPS Avenger\expansions

I don't know where it is on a Mac, but I would think that you could search for 'VPS_Avenger_XP_Factory.avxp2' and find it.

in Vmanager (and in Avenger in the Syspage) it tells you where the location of stuff is... Avenger 2 reset it for me but once I reconfigured it to where Avenger 1 stuff was it was fine and I definitely didn't have to redownloaded Factory 1 stuff.

It would be nice if the Pick5 bug was fixed. Worth the upgrade, as above took a few refreshes to get it going.
