In the end I went for the BF price and things like the Feedback osc pushed me over the edge, but I very much doubt I will buy any of those packs, which anyway seem mainly aimed at EDM people, not me. I will roll my own largely anyway but if there are any more interesting third party banks that are better priced I may take a look.
On my side I share your reservations. Do people even dance these days? But thank goodness it's not a closed system and third-party presets are allowed. Also hoping for some more soundtrack and ambient preset banks.

Disclaimer: I enjoy ambient HVAC soundfields.

Manuel, a serious programming problem, you can not make a 'preview' of the sounds of expansions prior to v2, very ineffective the truth, with an update that costs u$129 dollars is crucial to be implemented.

Just took advantage of the $80 upgrade, and I have to say... while the quality of the sounds that come from Avenger2 are really good, and I still have all my Avenger1 presets, but... the number of presets included with the base upgrade price was misleading. I went back and checked the main details page again, and it claims "over 2000 new presets", but this is only if you spend a fortune on additional preset packs on top of the base price. The base synth has like 150-200 presets, with almost nothing in categories like atmospheres, chords, effects, pads, piano/keys, etc.

Perhaps more experienced Avenger users know that the presets arent included? I did not, and this feels shady. It was nice to see more than just psytrance/housemusic in the presets, but once again... those are only paid preset packs that stray into more diverse genres. I want to like this deal a lot more, but...

I agree with you on the price of the upgrade. If VPS continues to support their as they did before for v1, I think it is fine though.

On the new sounds what I read in the website is:
"An all-new drum loop module, comes with a library of 1500 new drumloops
New Factory library with 250 presets, samples, wavetables and more"

I didn't check the drum loops yet but if they are there, I think it is fair.

I enjoyed Miguel's tutorial on the randomizer. I don't understand the need to use so much delay on EVERYTHING... :o

In French it is a very very common way to finish an invitation, it means "répondez s'il vous plaît" or "an answer is appreciated".
répondez s'il vous plaît. That's more an order. You claim an answer. There is more way polite to ask

Yeah but in old school French party code, the rsp sign is very common (and I don't like it much)

So, if there’s no demo, is there a money back guarantee if it doesn’t work well on your computer? I’ve got a good Windows computer with an i11 with plenty of RAM and drive space, but I worry when I hear people complaining that it doesn’t work well on their machines.

Need confirmation they've handled the CPU spike issue on some M-series Macs. Can anyone confirm?

No, I can confirm they didn't.
Not a deal breaker for me but if it is for you ... (M2 pro).

seems like every time I hear someone mention an Apple product on here it is because something is broken software wise.

Could anyone tell me if they change the envelope decay and release with higher value ?

It's impossible to make long decay with only 5000 ms and long release with only 10 000 ms on v1

For exemple Rapid it's up to 32 s

strange. Works here - and until now for all others, too
you can rightclick and generate previews for ALL installed packs. If not, you also could re.download all xps, since they now include the previews as well.

The V2 is growing on me... At the beginning not so flashy but there is a lot of power there... And the sound is still really really top notch...
