Strange, I am having difficulties with playing stacked chords; nothing plays at all when I try that.
I even made sure to turn up the knob that gives me more players in a section... and chordal sections are still inaudible. I don't know if it's Cakewalk's fault some way or other.
Any ideas?
...This month, I began to write a song for another prompt and determined not to submit it there, but thought I might transfer it to the Synful contest. I think I'm going to let this competition pass, too, though.

Question - can I use kHs Snap Heap? It's a paid plugin, but it's really just a host for the various individual components? As long as I'm not using any paid kHs effects?

Are you sure (a) all the notes are on the same midi channel ... (b) make sure your synful instrument is also on the same channel (slots 1-16 on the gui) ...

Paid effects are allowed this month, so yes.

Hey everybody, I've managed to join back in, even while I still am not properly set up in this wonderful new home of ours. A small quadratic table and a dining chair, no keyboard, but a view to kill for, HAHAHAHA. However, I couldn't pass up this fantastic reason to give Synful Orchestra a proper look and I really enjoy it A LOT. Took a few days to noodle this piece into place, find my way around SO and work out a mix I could live with. But here it is... even if short, but well...

Professor Sir Gilbert Fortepiano had discovered a strange device in the deserts around London. A... a music box? The geiger counter showed some signs of life. He started taking notes - what could it be?

Ableton Live 11

Drums and percussion:
VSCO2 x10
Crackle is a jingle bell sound mangled with Ruina, Supermassive, OTT, Renegate, Couture, then caressed a bit with Pro-MB
Pencil sound is more bells mangled with Drum Buss, EQ8, Graillon 2, OTT, NI Supercharger, Renegate, Shaper and Panagement
Block sound is a tom tom and a bass drum mangled with a Live rack* made with Kilohearts Formant Filter, Frequency Shifter, Pitch Shifter, Transient Shaper
Kick is the bass drum with KHS Transient Shaper, plus Pro G and Pro MB to tighten it up.
Snare has KHS Gate, Freq Shifter, Transient Shaper, Supermassive, TR5 Class Clipper to clip.
Snare roll is similar.
The echoing bell heard most prominently at the start has a triangle and chimes heavily mangled with KHS Gate, Freq Shifter, Transient Shaper, Pitch Shifter, Resonator, 3 Band EQ, Flanger, Phaser Distortion, Comb Filter, plus NI Replika, Raum, Supercharger and OTT. I'm sure I didn't need all of those but I can't be bothered to tidy up to find out what I actually used!

Then we have Synful x12
Bass FX is Bass Arco with Valhalla Space Modulator, Ruina, OTT, HY Filter3 Free, Ableton compressor, NI Supercharger, Valhalla FreqEcho, Dubstation 2, Panagement and Compressor.
Bass 2 is Horns8 with the KHS rack* above, plus Graillon 2 and Pro Q3 to tidy up
Noise sweeper is trombone with the KHS rack* above after being completed mangled by Ruina. There's also HY Filter3 Free and Raum.
Three flutes - 1st with Supermassive, EQ8, 2nd with the KHS rack* above, 3rd with an arpeggiator, Supermassive and EQ8
Horns - Horns8 with Compressor, another Horns 8 with compressor,
Strings - violin with EQ8, violins with Supermassive, viola with EQ8, celli with EQ8, basses with the KHS rack* above and a sprinkling of Supermassive on all of them.

Returns - Dubstation 2 for one of the flutes, and Satin and Presswerk on another for some light glue.

DAW Ableton, 3 instances of Synful Orchestra, 1 instance of VSCO2 Percussion.
For effects I used all Ableton native, 1 midnight EQ, 2 Forest Floor Reverb and one Master EQ and Glue Compressor.

Here's my submission for this month made using Ableton 11. It was a challenge geting sounds that I liked out of Synful, but I'm not too displeased with the results. Mixing is still my nemesis.
